| Chuck: Ep .06 - Chuck Versus the Sandworm I was finally able to catch up and watch the latest and greatest version of Chuck. Surprisingly, I found this week to be really refreshing and a move in the right direction. For some reason this series is hit or miss with me. Some weeks I will laud the acting and script writing, while other weeks I just hate the show. I want to draw attention to the fact that the sets have been taking a more noticeable minimalist approach since the pilot. I am not saying this is a bad thing, but I get the impression that when NBC ordered up Chuck for the fall schedule they did it on the caveat that the production budget was lowered a bit. In other words, less fight scenes on the top of skyscrapers with helicopter camera crews and more indoor and green screen stuff. This actually helps move the plot along being that unless you have a Matrix like budget and effects, long drawn out action scenes are boring. Maybe it is the interaction between Sarah and Chuck that differentiates a good episode from a bad one in my mind. This week you could really see that Sarah had feelings for Chuck and it is soooooo sweet! I thought the Morgan subplot was great and the supporting actors really brought a lot of entertainment value to the show, unlike the forced comedy routine I sometimes felt was over engineered in the past. Next week looks really good! Chuck flashes on himself and the whole Bryce thing comes to a head. This is the first time since the pilot that I am really looking forward to an episode. I can't wait! |

| Re: Chuck: Ep .06 - Chuck Versus the Sandworm If the buzz is correct, we shouldn't worry about Chuck being canceled. I am a bit confused how Chuck could flash about himself. I guess it all has to do with Bryce. I guess we have to let our logic go sometimes and give way to creative license. It really is far fetched to follow that Chuck was brainwashed by that chip. To my way of thinking there should be some mention of a photographic memory or something for this to be possible. But hey what do I know about the spy world and its technology. |

What I am thinking is that maybe Chuck is not entirely who we think he is and sees something about Bryce that sets off a flash of himself doing "spy like" things back during his initial time at Stanford that he has no current memory of... Well even if that is not the case, sounds like a good storyline to me! |

| Re: Chuck: Ep .06 - Chuck Versus the Sandworm I have had so much to catch up on with my life being crazy the last three weeks! I watched back to back epi's of Chuck online and I love this show. I admit that I thought about not watching it because it looked like a "nerd" show, but Zachary Levi is excellent and I'm glad that I am hooked. Although it would be nice to see Chuck and Sarah get together, it will be like all great shows where it will take seasons before they do. Last edited by AstrosPrincess; 11-04-2007 at 09:57 PM.
