Dexter: Ep. 205 - The Dark Defender

I am getting really worried for Dexter - Nothing like being scared that a serial killer might be caught! What in the world is he going to use to explain spraying his boat down with Luminol Reagent while simultaneously using a black light to find latent blood stains? That goose just might be cooked!

Hopefully the camera was focused elsewhere so as to not see what he was doing - but rather on his entrance and exit. He really needs to pump Debra for more information in the future so he does not get himself in these kinds of sticky situations!

I had a feeling that Lt. Laguerta and Sergeant Doakes knew each other in that way. Hell, they might even know each other in that way in real life from the way they look at each other sometimes! I mentioned that when I saw her in bed last week and you could see a guy, I immediately thought Doakes because of the obvious chemistry. This week that chemistry was confirmed.

What is up with Debra and Detective Lundy. Father and Daughter relationship or is there going to be more? He might be a lot older but I can actually see them as a couple. Why not? The Late 50's are the new early 30's!

Dex better be careful with Lila. He has a good thing going with Rita and he is really putting it in jeopardy! I am still sticking to my guns that Rita will be his ultimate demise if he continues on this path...

Okay, I just got all caught up on the last two episodes. I am getting really worried for him as well. He's not being as careful and meticulous as he should be! Looks like the pooh is really going to hit the fan on next week's episode!!!

One thing with Showtime is their seasons are only 12 episodes, so the halfway point is next week. We are headed for the stretch run and something has got to give. They are not just going to let this super case go cold. There has to be an outcome!

I was thinking about that today and wondering if he could ever really be a serious suspect. Once he was that would be the end of his job and probably the end of the show as we know it. Yes, they could have him on the lam, but it would not be the same. This is very tricky territory.

I am not sure how many seasons Dexter can run with this premise. After last season they had no choice but to go big or go home, and they went big with Dexter being the killer to catch this season. I am not sure that was the best choice for the long term survival of the show, but it will be good while it lasts!

Just once he gets caught - Game Over.

I know, I can't think of how much further the show can go and how they are going to wrap up the whole Bay Butcher storyline. I think they could have waited another season before his underwater graveyard got discovered....

Hopefully they have fleshed it out ahead of time and are not writing this by the seat of their pants! It seems like a no win situation.

If he gets caught - We lose.
If he doesn't get caught - Totally anticlimactic - We lose.

They just might have a genius way out of this. Lets hope that they do!

Hopefully they have some genius conclusion worked out before they ventured into this whole storyline... I doubt they would want a successful show like Dexter to end after only two seasons.

OMG! I did not even think of that! Glad you are still alive (and not dead as the pool seemed to be leaning by a 2-1 margin) to offer up an interesting theory.

Hmmm....didn't Dex run DNA already on his other dad with it coming up a match to him? Wouldn't that rule it out?
