Re: Mozilla Firefox Technical Support

If you were considering switching, today is the day.

Most major security firms are telling their corporate clients to stop using IE 5, 6, 7 and 8 IMMEDIATELY - until further notice.

If you do any online banking, shopping etc you might as well kiss your credit card info goodbye if you stumble upon an afflicted site with internet Exploder.

Unlike other computer exploits, this one does not require users to click on fishy links or download mysterious software: it plagues computers that simply open an infected Web page.

Basically, sites that have the virus. They are saying right now it is generally Chinese sites, but moving fast across the globe.

In the end, it could be any site - so don't be surprised if you are attacked if you choose not to head the warnings of top computer security experts.

Baidu (dot) com is the 11th most popular site in the world and it is infected - so that is a good base to continue the infection.

Thanks, Bacchus. As you know I can't control my ISP at work, but I have definately made the switch at home. And I really do appreciate the warning as I pay bills online here at work sometimes! Now I'll stay away from all that stuff here.

You mean browser. Your internet service provider is the company that provides your actual connection, i.e. Comcast, Timewarner, SBC, Verizon, AOL, etc.
