re: Technology and Gadgets
BOOM! It's really happening now...
ZTE T98 tablet with next-gen NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor spotted in Beijing
Carpe diem!
There is no such thing as a finished kernel. Not to mention the android kernel is heavily modified and unfinished.
See, 15% is a big deal to me. That's 15% less time starring at app splash screens and 15% less time waiting for my browser to launch and 15% less time waiting for my unit to boot. I value my time.yeah maybe on a single core. Dual core and quad gives maybe a 15% increase if I'm being generous.
When you can find it!And now we have hspa+ so a couple minutes tops.

again talking phones here. Tablets are pointless. personally I'd rather get a full windows tab.
okay broken kernel. There is no such thing as a finished kernel.
Why would you even turn it off in the first place? Apps are already getting to the point of instant launch. Until we get more advanced apps I'm not worried.See, 15% is a big deal to me.That's 15% less time starring at app splash screens and 15% less time waiting for my browser to launch and 15% less time waiting for my unit to boot. I have 4 bars average in my area. I dont travel much so I guess it could be a concern to others. If AT&T merges with tmo my service will be on par with Verizon. When you can find it!

Actually, there has been a quad core phone announced: Meizu first to announce quad-core Android phone
Technicality FTW!
In the next 3 months, there will be many more. We are on the cusp of the quad core era (well, if you take the Apple blinders off.)
It's hard to comment on an OS no one has really seen. Ice cream sandwich will be here in mere days and it merges both Android forks into a unified cross platform OS.okay broken kernel.
I think it will finally nudge Google ahead, for good in the phone/tablet wars relegating Apple to a teenybopper niche product.
I doubt the merger will go through and if it does, there is a good chance that T-Mobile will have to sell off a lot of its assets which would in effect nullify the gain.I have 4 bars average in my area. LTE is where it is at. I have a feeling it will take AT&T years to have a competitive service with comparable market penetration (Verizon plans to have 97% of the US covered in a little over a year - its entire current 3G footprint.)
Apple really missed the boat in not getting an LTE radio in this incremental upgrade...

I love all this tech talk. I will give Apple props for iMessage(the one good thing RIM has going for it) and the Siri A.I. If Google can get a "Google Messenger" that's compatible with ALL Android devices, I will cry.
I just hope Google is smart enough to realize that the Nexus Prime needs to be available on more than one carrier, especially since the iPhone is now available to three.

re: Technology and Gadgets
Still debating on whether to wait in line for the iPhone or pre-order it on line. I was all set to pre-order it until I saw that you can only get it shipped to the billing address on the account. I'm currently living in a different city as the account holder so they would have to receive it for me then ship it to me. It seems like it'd be easier to just wait at either the AT&T store or Apple. Anyone have experiences with this?
