So growing up my aunt gave me one of the collectors special edition Barbies for birthdays, Christmas and ect. I of course hated it so much at the time because I wasn't allowed to take them out of the box and play with them. I still have them all sitting in their boxes in my closet, twenty two in total. I am trying to decide if I should continue to hold on to them or if I could get a pretty penny for them on ebay or something. They're mostly from the early nineties so maybe if I hold on to them longer they will increase in value. However, now seems to be the time for eager nastolgic collectors to be buying all this stuff, and maybe the whole ebay thing will have faded in ten years. Anyway, pondering over this and just thought I would share.

I have starwars action figures. My mom bought them for me when I was 3 and only let me look at them in the plastic boxes. She still won't let me play with them and won't trust me alone in the room with them! lol...'

So...I know where you are coming from.

As long as your aunt is alive, I wouldn't. What has greater value? The money from the sale or the love and thought that was put into it by your aunt?

And, Bacc, if your mom has the Princess Leia doll, ask her how much she wants for it. I had one when I was little, but saw a doll not a collectors item and I wish I had it to this day.

Geez, I am such an unfeeling person. I didn't even think about the whole sentimental value aspect of it! Der.

I have my Jordan Knight doll still sealed in a box.
