I know this isnt real world related but I just feel like venting my frustrations with some idiots on Speak Reality. Some of the time its funny but most of the time its borderline retarded the way some of them act. I just wish they would not attack people like Bacchus who has all the info on the next challenges or real worlds. I have been trying to delete my profile from there because the disrespect and yeah. /rant

Btw I would go to TwOP any day over SR, at least some of their criticisms are funny.

All the time I have heard mention of SR on here, and yet still I haven't ever went there...unless it was way before I discovered and signed up for vevmo.com in which case I don't remember the little people, I just step on them.

Well I haven't seen that post yet still who cares about them honestly. Sure Speak Reality is a good board overall but honestly I prefer Vevmo over them any day of the week. There is a much nicer atmosphere over here and we have Bacchus so naaaaaaaaa SR.

I know where in the past SR got a lot of their inside stuff. They don't have access to it any more due to the incredible rudeness of some members.

I am retiring from SR effective immediately.

Obviously there are some very good people over there like Jon and Lisa (and many others) - but overall they seem to pander to the lowest common denominator (which is at Nathan or Handsome Devil epic low IQ depths.)

They used to be about the snark (like TWoP) but I think the community has become stale and embittered. Now it is all about personal attacks and demeaning rants. I can understand why V1man decided to leave a few weeks back and now I am following suit.

At least we have "take out the trash day" around here - often, if you know what I mean! *wink* *wink*

Selective pruning keeps the conversation much lighter and generally on topic. Sure, Vevmo does have a "group think" feel at times, but there is still a good variety of arguments being brought to the table in a civilized manner on any given topic (well, except on Shauvon of course...)

As much as I enjoyed bringing my expertise in the Real World/Road Rules genre to SR, I am sure they will do just fine copy and pasting my wealth of knowledge from here without my implicit input.

I also would consider TWoP a good second choice for a television discussion forum as there is intelligent talk on a variety of topics (although they are even running commercials on Bravo at this point so it is not like they are a small forum.)

....but who needs a second choice when you have such a good first one?
