| So I'm working for a new company and its fresh as far as how long I've worked here. I've gotten five checks, paid weekly and every week my checks come later and later. (yes they only mail them) but last week's still hasn't came and when I called about this they said that the post office lost 106 checks and that they have to cancel the checks and reissue them. THEY ARE CHARGING ME TO CANCEL THE OLD CHECK!!! i feel like not only is some shiesty bs is going on but to charge me 45 dollars damn near a half days pay it basically rape! I know its not alot of money but it would go into my tank to get my ass to work ontime! I can't beleive I'm expected to arrive and leave on time but my checks aren't on time. SHould I quit? I mean there's lots of jobs and im qualified so why beat my head up with company just trying to get paid. Can I refuse that they charge me for cancelling the check. if i cancel a check to my car loan they dont get charged I DO. Sorry its long but I'm annoyed. |

| Re: I Need To Rant!
I've been in the business world for a very long time and am the person who signs the checks. The explanation you were given makes no sense. The payroll checks are written on the bank where your employer holds its payroll funds. If something happened to one check or 1000, it would make no difference. They are responsible for paying you what you are owed -- the full amount. The loss of the check -- if it actually happened -- is not your responsibility. I think you and everyone else in the company has a valid claim against the company if they don't pay you. In our business, we have checks that occasionally go astray. Because we have a great relationship with our bank, we are never charged a fee for check cancellations. The bank considers it the cost of keeping our accounts with them. Personally, if I were you, I'd be looking for employment elsewhere. It sounds to me like they are having cash flow issues. The post office just doesn't lose that many letters without the postal investigators becoming involved. You might ask your employer for the USPS investigation number so you can follow-up with the post office to determine if they are lying to you. I'll bet they say they don't have a the investigation number or any contact info for the postal inspectors. Good luck... |

| Re: I Need To Rant! They can't do that, threaten legal action, I bet you start getting them on time OR they will find a reason to fire you for putting them in there place and in that case, collect unemployment while searching for a better job at a reputable company. (I was going to spell check this but all of a sudden it won't work from work again and it's skign me to download something so I apoligize in advance for an errors) |

| Re: I Need To Rant! Thanks for pointing that out. You are pulling from the old template. I just deleted it (which I thought I already did) to force the new default. The old templates have a cross site scripting vulnerability that would open the site up for attack. Alright....NOW post me a screen shot of what you are clicking on for spell check Stacee, hehehe. |
