So...Since I came into work on December 17th, our office has smelled like a skunk...at first it was really really bad, then it slowly started fading...but never fully went away. I always assumed it was someones idea of a joke since it has happened in our office before (one of our managers bought the skunk smell, soaked a cotton ball in it and taped it under a sales girls desk...it was revenge) BUT no one would fess up. Well I came in today and went about my work as always when I noticed something move on the wall out of the corner of my eye...it was a huge ass fly. Then I looed on the ceiling and there were about 50-100 of them up there (sidenote: I am a huge germaphobe when it comes to insects) So I am assuming that since it has been fairly cold all this time up until this weekend that the skunk died way back then but is barely starting to decompose or something...Where is Grissom when you need him??

I need some emotional support here because I am on the verge of traumatization and I don't think that qualifies for long term disability.

umm, not that I know of...maybe but the thing is, that there is no smell anymore...it has subsided substantially in the last week or so...and these flys just came today so it is just an assumption at this point. My boss is a a really cool guy but I like to complain...I know it irritates him so he sometimes he gets to that point where he just wants to tell me to shut up, LOL.

Worst of all the fly's have drawn out the wide array of spiders we have in the office...they think it is feast time I was never even bothered by spiders until I started working here...one bit me on the arch of my foot in my first week here...painful experience

That is so gross. I do not know what will get out the rotting carcus smell, but tomato juice is good for getting out the skunk smell if it were to linger.

see that is the wierd part...the smell is already mostly gone and the flys have just arrived.

every state has a health code they have to follow. this sounds like a violation to me .maybe if you go to HR and tell them they will do something about it .tell them it is a health code violation and it needs to be addressed.Because it is a health hazard to every one that works in this office with all those flys.good luck!
