Post Fall Season Post Mortem - My Personal Hits & Misses

This is a breakdown of the 13 new shows that I have given a shot this fall season and how I currently feel about each one indicated by a Hit, Miss, or Lukewarm rating.

I am always one to try out a variety of new programming each year, but after a large segment of my favorites got canceled last season, I am going to be much quicker on the draw in dumping a show if I see the ratings heading down hill.

Note: I didn't include DOA shows like K-Ville and Cavemen as I did not watch them and we already know their fate.

Monday
Chuck - Hit
Journeyman - Lukewarm
Big Bang Theory - Miss

Tuesday
Cane - Miss

Wednesday
Pushing Daisies - Hit
Dirty Sexy Money - Hit
Life - Hit
Private Practice - Lukewarm
Bionic Woman - Lukewarm
Kid Nation - Miss
Kitchen Nightmares - Miss

Thursday
Survivor China - Lukewarm
Big Shots - Miss

Friday
Moonlight - Miss

Talley - Hits:4; Lukewarm:3; Misses:6

Re: Fall Season Post Mortem - My Personal Hits & Misses

Survivor has been somewhat of a miss for me. When I started watching Big Brother 8, I was absolutely hooked from week one. Survivor I keep watching hoping it will hook me in, but it hasn't happened so far. I'll still give it a few more episodes.

Re: Fall Season Post Mortem - My Personal Hits & Misses

Survivor has been a miss for me for several years. Not since the third installment have I really been excited or into it.

As for Big Shots, I found the second episode much better than the first one. It's still more stupid then good. But still funny.

Kid Nation is a bit of a disappointed because it isn't anything like it was sold. The kids are not in charge and are being molded and lead by hidden adults via the history book. But I still enjoy watching every week, as does my 11 year old daughter.

I watch K-Ville every Monday, only because there is nothing else on at that time. It's okay, nothing great.

I had planned on watching Moonlight, but each time it was on, I forgot or wasn't home.

Gossip girl is lukewarm for me. I think it's geared to a younger age, hence the reason it took me awhile to warm up to it. But going into the 4th episode, I feel warmer towards it. But with my luck it will get the ax, and I will be pissed because I made myself make the investment when I should have walked away after the free trial run.
