This cannot be possible.

First of all, I used HandBrake to get the movie onto my computer....which takes 2-3 hours.

I used iDVD to set it up yada yada yada.....i set it as "Professional" for encoding....but 23 HOURS?!?!?!?!!?!?

This can't be right.

The movie file is an .mp4, which handbrake used as the default.

Bacchus.....should I not be using mp4s? is that why its taking so long?

What can I do to make this NOT a full day?

iDVD. burning a 2 hour long movie thats an mp4 file.

I heard it can take up to 8 hours....buuuuut i'm not waiting 23.

I set it at "Professional" for encoding....shouldh I try "high quality" instead? i'll give that a whirl

any thoughts on Toast or Popcorn? have you used either?

gotta get away from this iDVD prog. it just takes way way way way too long

i use mactheripper to extract the movie and then burn the files directly to a dvd. it takes 20 minutes tops depending on the movie size.

Yeah I tried the application "Burn" and it converted the mp4 into a mpeg......disc burned quickly but didnt work in either of my dvd players.

I'm going to try just burning an mp4 directly and seeing if that works in my dvd players.

if not...im going to light my laptop on fire.
