Lost: Post Strike Schedule

It looks like there will be a one month lapse in Lost airings from when the current run ends until it picks up through to this seasons finale.

The last episode of the current pod (episode seven) will air Mar. 13. Then the show will be off the air a little more than a month and return Apr. 17 at 9 p.m.

(That Apr. 17 episode will be the already-completed episode eight, which was filmed prestrike, but which apparently works much better as a minipremiere than it does as a minifinale.)

Re: Lost: Post Strike Schedule

It's official: Sources confirm to me exclusively that Steve McPherson has signed off on Lost's extraspecial 14th hour this season, which means Lost is getting a three-hour finale! The first hour airs May 15, the second and third hours will air May 29, beginning at 9 p.m. (ABC will still air the finales of Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy on May 22, as expected.)

Word is there are so many big reveals the producers wanted to deliver this season that they felt anything less than a full three-hour finale would have cheated the fans. In fact, I'm hearing that the writers' draft for the second half of the finale was 80 pages long, which led all parties involved to realize these stories had to be told now. Anything else would have felt like a rip-off for the fans.

Needless to say, this news rocks.

Ok...that's cool and all...but if the 3 hours aren't played back-to-back...its not REALLY a 3hour finale. I read this before on another site. What makes the "first hour" just another episode with a cliffhanger? lol

Needless to say...im still pumped though! Can't wait for it to come back!

I know, the semantics used to define a "finale" are funny. Why not just call the entire season a 14 hour finale, lol!

With Lost, there is a heavy long term story arc so even if the episode played the week before the actual finale does in some way set up the finale, so do the previous 3 seasons, so I just don't get it. Well, never mind, I am sure something advertised as a finale gets better ratings (and more advertising revenue) then something that is not advertised as such, so there is a method to the madness.

Anyways, I am excited too!

Re: Lost: Post Strike Schedule

That would be my job, although the deal I had with Bacchus didn't really work out the way we planned and he didn't really do his agreed job either last week.

Anyhoo, I'll write something up tomorrow.

You really think it's not good RSV? huh. I've really enjoyed the last two episodes.
