Now who didn't think Kate could be one of the Oceanic 6 just because she was a wanted woman? Heck, I'm just happy I was right about something. Of course the circumstances of the crime and her notoriety ...she would get off or get a deal. Of course we can't be certain of the outcome if her mom did testify against her, but that wasn't the case.

I know many people are going to be wondering what is with Jack. Especially now knowing that it's not Sawyer that is keeping them apart.

Kate having Aaron brings so many questions in my mind. My initial thought is that Claire dies and Kate raises Aaron as her own. Probably made a death bed promise to Claire. And of course Jack, feels guilty for not being able to save Claire that he can't bare to look at her son. But...like I said those were my initial thoughts.

What if...Claire stayed behind and gave Kate her son? Remember going back to the first season, it is her 'fate' that someone else would raise her baby. Just something to think about, anything is possible in the world of Lost.

If Aaron is any indication of a time line, he's about 2 in that flash forward, so unless she wasn't tried immediately upon her return to the states, it takes them at least a year to get off the island. But that really wasn't what I got from the producers...or maybe I misunderstood their meaning, which is easy enough to do.

What about Miles, who is not loving him? The dude is seriously funny. Of all the things to want to see Ben about, I didn't foresee that.

I suppose with his back story, extortion really is something he would do, but for some reason I didn't think his urgent desire to speak to Ben would be to demand 1.3 million dollars. LOL (or was it 1.2?)

And Locke putting the grenade in his mouth....geesh, how long can a person physically hold onto it? If Locke wants answers he better not leave him like that for too long.

I suppose I should address the Kate and Sawyer thing. I'm not sure what to think here. The girl is clearly and literally torn between the two, but obviously loves Jack and won't sleep with Sawyer again. I can't help but feel bad for the guy though. He was so sexy in his shorts reading....I'd do him....anyhoo

Sawyer totally called Kate on it before she slapped him. He was dead on. I don't blame Jack for not wanting to get close to the baby. Kate would just freak out when they got to close and kick him to the curb too.

Even though I totally have a TV crush on Kate, she is a very selfish character.

I think you hit all the major themes Kathleen. I also think that the reason Jack does not want to see Aaron is because he was either implicitly or explicitly involved in the death of Claire. You could really see Kate's face light up when Jack told her that what he said on the stand wasn't true (about loving her) and yet for some reason Jack can not get past what happened in the process of her taking on Aaron as her own. Isn't that just like Jack? Why is it that poor guy always has these serious idiosyncratic problems?

As for the timeline, I am guessing that even though Aaron looks around two (think Walt Syndrome) they are less then a year off the island. I got the impression from the producers that we would go from island to Jack misery in about a year and that would happen by episode 8! Of course I have never been good at understanding the producers intentions and there is also the strange spacial issues that we are dealing with this season.

I was totally shocked that all Miles wanted was money (3.2 million.) I was expecting him to ask Ben the meaning of life or something (10^122?) Ben is obviously a very rich man, or works for one as Miles wasn't buying his attempt at stalling. The grenade in the mouth has to be inert. I don't think Locke would risk his life as he needs the information too much at this point and he knows Ben is not going to tell him anything.

I am not sure what to think of Kate/Sawyer on the island. Kate flipped for no reason. She knows Sawyer is always insensitive sounding and the truth is she didn't want a child either (at least at the time.) However, in the end this looks like good news for the Jaters!

I was wondering why Jack wouldn't go see Aaron! and now "guilt" seems to be the best explanation. Claire's death will be a sad one =(

Anyways...i was thinking that they were going to do a "we'll make you think Claire's dead, but she'll get off and we'll surprise you LAST LAST LAST minute". Still possible, but unlikely. Just because then Charlie's death would've been for nothing! B/c he loved Claire. yada yada yada
