The Next Season of Amazing Race.

For those of you they may have been wondering when the next season of the Amazing Race was going to begin I found this on Wikipedia.org:

The Amazing Race 13 will be the thirteenth installment of the popular five time Emmy Award winner reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 13 will feature several teams of two, with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world.
Applications were due on November 27, 2007. Semi-finalist interviews were held in December 2007 and January 2008 and final casting interviews took place in February 2008, in Los Angeles. Filming is expected to take place around April or May 2008.[1][2]
CBS had originally planned to only air one installment of The Amazing Race (Season 12) in the 2007-08 season, but due to the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike, CBS has looked for this installment as a replacement for programs affected by the strike.[3] The 13th season has since been greenlit by CBS, but no word on when this season will air has been stated.[4]
Race locations were being scouted in January 2008.[5]

I also heard that the season was supposed to air in the summer.

No chance that we will see a summer air.

No early spottings.

Early fall at best. Please God. Early fall.

This is a fan favorite.....but so few fans. You would think it needs a huge share to continue, but our normal shows can't pull anything so there is now a renewed hope!

TAR is better then a hopeless sitcom. CBS Executive's, you are reading, right?

I hope that they do two installments this year. With the great ratings that they had late fall and early winter last time around, it would seem like a no brainer.

With the gimmicky All-Star and Family editions securely in the past, things can only be looking up. Especially if they do HD! This show is made for HD if there ever was a reality show that begged to be filmed in the upgraded format.

The Sunday time slot is perfect. I'd keep it right there after 60 minutes which is a "Big Dawg" lead in, although I hate the football delays. That being said, those delays always bleed over into the show and give a massive viewer injection to the bottom line each and every week.

Well I got this from wikipedia.org and I don't know if it is true, but they said there have been some spottings of Amazing Race teams.

I found the real spoiler at realityfanforum website. It was actually started in Los Angeles last April 22nd, two teams were spotted (2 blondies in pink and a young male/male team). -- 07:51, April 25, 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.212.13.237 (talk)
Another spoiler has surfaced in which a team has been photographed at Chicago's O-Hare airport on the night of April 22nd. Based on RFF (Reality Fan Forum)'s deductions based on flight combinations, it is very likely that The Amazing Race 13's first destination is Buenos Aires, Argentina. I read this as well. Sounds legit enough, but you never know. It was presumed that they were casting/location scouting the last few months so I would not be surprised if they were filming the first leg by now.

I have also just looked and found out that the 1st leg of the race was from Memphis, TN to Caracas, Venezuela. I got it from wikipedia.com. Idk if it is old news to you guys, but if it isn't then here it is.

I hate the fact that they no longer start and end the race in the same city. It is not really an around the world if you start in Memphis and end in say, Seattle.
