H-Hour +4m

I just finished up the first episode (that was actually the second episode) and overall it was an enjoyable hour of television. Having seen the Grey's Anatomy "spin-off special" my expectations were not that high coming into tonight's debut.

One thing I can say with confidence is that the cast is really top notch. Tim Daly has always been excellent in anything that he has done and Taye Diggs along with Amy Brenneman and Kate Walsh round out a group of well know actors that needed a home. With the intense competition at that hour we will have to see how long that home lasts...

Tonight played out like a quirky Grey's with lots of predictability. Now the fact that the guy giving sperm died and his significant other wanted the sperm (extracted!) after he was dead was a bit of a shocker and provided me with a nasty mental image.......but everything else played along by the book. Like we wouldn't see the "troubled labor, Addision saves the day" scene coming from 10 miles away! I mean are they going to have that scenario replayed every week?

All in all I give the episode a 5/10. Lots of room for improvement but the cast and the show have my attention for the time being.

What, Bacc, no comment about your girl Kate dancing naked?

I thought for a spinoff show it wasn't that bad. It was a little Grey's predictable like you said, but the story line of the lady in the store was better than some of the side stories on Grey's.

I'll give it another shot. The question is, when will we get to see Taye Diggs dance naked?

Normally I'd be all for Kate Walsh dancing naked, but that scene was so over-the-top goofy, I cringed rather than gawked.
