I think we have the same tastes in Seasons. My least favorite is Paris. My second least favorite is London. Then Sydney and then Austin.

That is because they haven't come to Dallas with a good cast.

yeah, it was also cool when intelligent/mature/thoughtful people weren't such a rare and remarkable occurrence.

hmm... that sounds bad. allow me to disclaim:

I'm not saying that the more recent seasons haven't all (or mostly) had a number of cool/smart people. Just saying that it now seems that the order of the day is to to stack the deck with people who are prone to displays of a) recurring drunkenness, b) blind immaturity, c) vapid superficiality. And even when people have more to their personalities than the ability to party and get it on in a hot tub (or in bedroom night vision, take your pick), editors make sure we don't much get to see it.

I guess maybe that makes for "better TV," (read: better ratings) but it totally turns me off. I was so disgusted by Vegas that I didn't even bother watching the next 3 seasons because i found the trend of sexcapades, drunken debauchery, and superficial crushes and love triangles so boring and useless. I don't consider any of that shit "real" & I missed the days when RW actually gave me something to think about now & again.

I know that a cast full of Parisas would never work, but it'd be cooler to have a more even mix of folks. maybe it's my faulty memory ***king with me, but it seems like they used to cast a much wider range of personalities & used to have a higher ratio of more intelligent people in the mix. or maybe I was just dumber back in the 90s (entirely possible).

And don't get me wrong--I do find it hilariously entertaining to see people acting a fool. It'd just be nice to also have a fairer share of genuine substance.

I guess my favorite seasons were New York, Back to New York, New Orleans, Boston, maybe San Francisco...

Least favorite: Vegas, by far. f all those jokers & their dumb ass drama.

That was a very inteligent post. Nice.

I must agree with everything. The seasons you listed as being good are gold. They are great seasons that taught a lesson.

The only lesson being taught from the past 9 seasons starting at Las Vegas is how to get drunk, have sex, and have a pregnancy scare.
