RW 21 Casting Experiences

Just wanting to get a general feel of how far along in the process different people are, as well as how they did it and where they are at now. Share!

Re: RW 21 Casting Experiences

I will start this one off, get it going more.

I uploaded a video online, got an email with the application a week or two later. I did the application, and got a call back three weeks later from the casting office. I got another call a week after, set up a recorded interview, which I did about another week later. The whole process has taken about a month and a half (almost two), and I was told that I will hear back within three weeks of my recorded interview (if at all).

It's been about a week now, and I'm anxious!

1. What's your first name?

2. Wear a Vevmo t-shirt or something totally stupid and inappropriate on the show.

3. I'll think of something even MORE lame, and post that later on.

Thanks =) haha

Re: RW 21 Casting Experiences

Congrats. The live interview is a good time. I believe I'm in the semi-finals again for this season, but not sure. I just got a phone call from a casting director. They said they are sending me something this week. Maybe a rejection letter? lol.

Re: RW 21 Casting Experiences

I also received a phone call today verifying my address and seeing if I would be at that address for the next couple of weeks. I don't believe that anyone is getting sent rejection letters or things of that nature, in fact quite the opposite. I think what they are doing is confirming the addresses for everyone that has made it to the semifinal round, which consist of one-on-one taped interviews in person with a casting director, so by confirming our addresses they can than settle on where several central Semi-Final Locations will be throughout the country. Example: Cameran from Real San Diego was from South Carolina, but went to the semi-final casting round in Florida ( Get Real Denver Catching up with Cameran) Davis was at school in Florida during his casting process and was invited to the semi-finals in Atlanta ( Interview with Davis Mallory from MTV's the Real World, Denver - Associated Content ). Christina from Road Rules from Michigan was invited to the semi-finals in Chicago (MTV's 'Real World' wants WMU student - News ). So according to my theory they're calling people who've advanced as far as we have to confirm where we reside and find a central semi-final location in a major city. So Liz in Maine will probably have hers in New York, while semi-finalist in the south will be invited to either Florida or Atlanta, I think it's safe to say that Chicago and Los Angeles or probably both sites for semi-finalist in the Midwest and the West Coast. This isn't for sure, just from what I gather from reading other interviews from people who've actually made it on the show, and while it is a theory, one thing I absolutely guarantee is that a call from the casting department is NEVER a bad thing. They won't call to even say they've cut you if you were a finalist, so rest assure, they won't be sending you a "Reject Letter", just worry about when they stop calling, cause that's a definite bad sign.
