We have been assuming that The Gauntlet was launching on January 8th, but ever since that date came out a month ago MTV has not said a word, which is strange (with it being so close.) Maybe they are going to wait until The Real World Sydney is over to lead us into the new challenge.

January 23rd is the premiere date schedule for The Gauntlet 3.

The date makes sense. It would be slated to fill the Real World Sydney's Wednesday slot. There are 3 episodes + 1 reunion special remaining in the current season which could mean that on January 16th MTV will run a Gauntlet 3 special to fill the gap, with the actual premiere a week later on the 23rd.

So they sent Greg home because he's an alcoholic?? Here's my thing. What do you have to do in the RW house to be deemed an alcoholic. Ruthie obviously drove, so I see where that came from. But in Denver, there were two roomies (Davis and Jenn) who admitted to having a problem with alcohol. However, that didn't deem them alcoholics. By AA's definition, probably the majority of EVERY cast would be considered one. Do something you normally wouldn't do? Check. Become hostile violent and or irrational? Check. Black out? Check. But it's always ignored by the powers to be at RW. Greg must have really crossed the line to have been sent to rehab and sent home for alcohol.

If this is true (and we have no idea if it is) then maybe there is more to it then just drinking. Although MTV frowns upon drinking and driving they have never taken issue with just excessive drinking. Actually they love it. It leads to fights and sex.

During their stay at the Palms, The Real World Las Vegas Reunited cast were running up thousand dollar plus bar bills EVERY SINGLE DAY OF FILMING!

I think the real story is still waiting to surface. The first time the rumor was kicking around about Greg leaving it was stated that he skipped out on his job obligations to go to some sort of fashion week elsewhere, and it did not involve alcohol. So we really need more reliable intel at this point.

Greg did not kicked out due to excessive drinking, he got fired from his job and had to leave the show b/c he did a modeling gig. This is a fact, I know him b/c I was on the casting site as well. And my good friend also from the casting site, talks to him on the phone all the time, that is the story. Not anything to do with alcohol.
