Yes, this is what happens when MTV orders one hour format shows. They think they keep the audience more interested if they dont have 22 weeks of half-hour shows. They may have a point.

Agreed but what is going to happen next? The Challenge has only now begun taping, so we are going to have a dry spell for so long? Cause RW Brooklyn also is now taping right?

Seems long to hold out....

Logic tells me the challenge will air in Oct/Nov during sweeps, but BMP started the editing process this week, so they could bring it out earlier. If it is as dramatic as we are beginning to think it may be, then saving it for it's rating value is the smartest corporate move for MTV... and for us, because it will probably mean that the challenge contract will be extended for a couple more seasons. Nothing is certain because MTV is undergoing a an internal corporate makeover. I'm hearing that it was tough to get the Brooklyn season approved. They want "The Hills" style ratings from future shows that are as expensive to produce as is the Real World.

Yea the younger demographic I get it, it sucks for us that are getting older though
and we love our Real World

I like the one hour format so much more.

The sydney season was half hour shows and it seems like it was on for a year!

and we got like maybe a week of Isaac in that whole year...I swear they should have focused on his crazy ass more.
