Chicago got sort of interesting because it filmed during 9/11. It was the first time they had a TV in the house. It was Tonya's season so there was plenty of issues. It wasn't too much of a party crowd (there was a recovering alcoholic/newly gay, uptight man who acted like he was forced to be there.) Wasn't all too exciting overall.

just checked out the address of the loft they had... dam they put that muddafuggin loft way too far into the suburbs. Shit it's still in the city but they coulda found something closer to downtown.

yo bacchus, you know everything, go get me joey's address so i can set him up the bomb

i heard the cast is already there, i got the info from this site. it says

"If you thought middle America’s fascination with all things Brooklyn died with the trucker hat, you were wrong—at least, according to MTV. By selecting downtown Brooklyn as the setting for the 21st season of The Real World, the cable cronies (besides inspiring predictable eye-rolling from too-cool locals) have proved this fair borough still holds a mythical allure to suburbanites. The show’s photogenic stars are unpacking their bags at this very moment (at Belltel Lofts, 365 Bridge St. @ Willoughby, to be exact), so don your trendiest duds and check out these downtown Brooklyn hotspots for a chance to chat up your favorite cute-but-troubled cast member. "

this news was posted on the 5th of july. and they have a list of places either if they visted it or might visit.

here the link

This could be great follow up to Hollywood if they play their cards right and it appears they are on the right track. I guess Phily is the season I remember the least out of these past seasons but I didn't hate it or anything. But then again I'm easy to please :P

I am confused as to why they chose this location as well. Everything I have read calls it an urban dead zone in the midst of revival but not ready for prime time.

That site is just saying where they might go given the location. Not that they are in town and actually visiting these clubs. Interesting article none the less.

They probably chose this location b/c the belltell lofts is a new housing building and they could get the space they wanted. It's not in the suburbs. It's an avenue away from brooklyn heights. they a 2-minute walk to dumbo. they'll have fort greene on one side and boerum/cobble hill on the other. and this location does not have a lot traffic on the weekends. the traffic comes from all of the court buildings--which are only open until 5pm weekdays.

no bacchus, not saying that it is true but the site says that they were in the lofts unpacking their stuff already...
it does mention where they could go, but it says they're already there as well.

I missed that line. Probably because it sounded like utter bullshit, lol.

Out of all the New York papers that have been offering total coverage on this subject (New York Times, New York Observer, New York Daily News) not one decided to mention that they are actually filming? Yet, a website that charges for mentions (a bar and event advertising site) just happens to have the inside scoop and knows that they are in town and where they are going to party! Yeehah!

I think I'll stick to my sources unless something a bit more substantial comes along.
