If you haven't made it, then what would be the point? lol.

well wise ass i'll explain. most people can't even get to the application round let alone the interview part. what if you could help someone make a great tape, which most people are clueless about doing anyways and get them going in the right direction? if after the tape and app help they are still no good for the show then so be it. you're pretty much on your own anyway once the interviewing starts.

2. If I go with friends, will we be seperated because we know one another?
3. What stands out in a group of 10?

Thats it for now. Thanks guys
1) they are all crowded, some more than others depending on where you live. getting there early is good, but you can get there late too and still be able to talk to a casting person.

2) the friends thing i don't know about, but i thought i remember someone saying that they sat at a table with their friend. they got an app and their friend did not.

3) just be yourself, being outspoken will help. speak your mind and if and when you disagree with someone let them know why. making fun of things and just be natural. it is not hard to stand out in a group of 10. probably like 6 or 7 kids will just answer to questions the casting person asks and not saying anything else. go out of your way to throw in your 2 cents.

Re: Real World 21 Casting

there is no "step by step" to get to the final interview, and helping somebody "make their video/application more appealing" is nonsense as well. the casting directors (several of them analyze you after a certain point) are looking for consistency as well as reality. they want somebody who is real to who they are, and who has a strong personality.. if you can't make the video/fill out the application yourself, you shouldn't waste your time at all.

agree to disagree. you can be a great person for the show, but just have a "yawn" of a tape and app.

i do agree that there is no step by step guide to getting cast, never said there was and being as real is possible is the whole point of the show, but you have to be interesting too.

I'm kinda with da on this one.....i've had MULTIPLE people (20ish?) tell me that they think i'd rock on the show, but I've yet to make a 5 minute video that is appealing. There's SO MUCH to me (hahahah im one pretentious, narcisitic bastard apparently. I also don't know how to spell "narcisistic") that i struggle to create a 5 minute video that is decent. I wish I could just get a friggin interview and i'd be happy

You can be solid for the show, but just unsure of how to put your "best foot forward". that's how i am and feel about it.
