It's late right now, but my mind is swirling with questions that I need answered. Maybe there are no answers....

I have to say the constant time shifts in the plot were a wee bit confusing to read about in one sitting.

For right now I will settle with the answer of what did Charlie tell Peter when he went back in time to his first day on the job? The recaps on NBC never said.

I will sleep on it all and digest what I just read, I'll have more questions tomorrow. So be warned Bacchus.

Kath, I'm not sure I have the answer you are seeking. Below is from the Heroes Wiki, for Peter's Character, and it captures the conversation between Charlie and Peter. Is that what you were looking for?

He's surprised to see himself pushing out Charles Deveaux in a wheelchair with Angela in tow. After leaving the two friends, this other Peter meets Simone. When asked about their parents' connections, the other Peter notes that Angela is full of surprises. He goes on to tell Simone that he is not a hero, but that Charles is, explaining his thoughts on death, beauty and life. After seeing his other self and Simone leave, Peter overhears Charles talking to Angela about Linderman's plan and that he believes Peter is special. He believes that heart will save the world, not strength: Peter is the key, not Nathan. Angela disagrees, and that the bomb will occur and Nathan will lead the world after. Charles expresses his disagreement on the inevitability of the explosion and that he won't live to see the true outcome. Angela wishes him well and leaves her good friend. Charles then acknowledges Peter's presence, and remarks that invisibility would be a good ability to have. Peter asks how he's here, wondering if it's a dream, him time-traveling, or if Charles is doing it. Charles tells him that he's there because he needs to be: to learn that he will save the world. Charles notes that Peter has the ability to love unconditionally, reminding him of a previous conversation that love is all that matters. He yells aloud that he is tired, and Peter watches his other self come and wheel Charles away.

I believe that answers my question. The recap only summarized and left out the actual content. It showed Peter overhearing his mother with Charles, then Charles telling Peter that he knows he is there, followed by Peter asking why he was there. Nothing else.

I think for the most part the recap on NBC will suffice to pick up the series at this point. It was skimpy on some of the deets but the major plot points were there.

I think I am going to make a visit to my local video store to see if they have the season DVD for rent, if not I guess I'll have to ebay it. I will not pay those crazy prices at the store.

There is another option, although it comes with the caveat that it might not be legal in your country. I, in no way, advocate the illegal downloading of copyrighted material. I know in the Police States of America this is a forbidden practice, but I am not sure about the laws in Canada or other countries and I am providing instructions for downloading torrents in general and explaining the search mechanism of torrent tracker sites for legal usage!

Oh dear.

I download all my music from iTunes so that there tells you how I feel about pirating.

O.K. so I'm just chicken and am paranoid that the RCMP will be barging in with guns blazing as soon as I hit "Download"

As I stated earlier, I do not condone copyright theft...lol

Speaking of iTunes, you can't get NBC shows any more. NBC wanted to jack the cost up to $5 per episode ($120 per season.)

...who's the pirate now?

iTunes Canada doesn't let you download TV shows or Movies anyhow.

Only music and audio books.

Which is very wrong. I'm paying for it. Give it to me!!!!

We don't trust you squirrelly Canadians with our digitized American Pop-Trash. You might distribute it to Al Qaeda!.....er......although I am not sure what they would do with it....er.....but it would be bad! and that is why!
