Dirty Sexy Money: Ep. 10 - The Nutcracker

I was really taken aback at the end of this episode when we find out that Karen is actually the inside man (er...woman) in the Elder organization. I did not take her for the cunning espionage type at all! This of course is all going to lead to trouble as Elder is going to dump her per Nicks wishes. Tripp should have clued Nick in on this.....unless Tripp is actually the ultimate evil and Karen is serving another secret purpose beyond the purview of Nick. I am still going to say Simon is the Antichrist of the show, but who really knows...

I was happy to see Brian go to work for "dad." He really didn't seem to make a good pastor. I have a good feeling about ruthless business actually being a forte of his and we will soon see him rise in his "fathers" eyes.

Not sure what is up with Carmelita going missing. Maybe the wife set up a kidnapping? It is quite obvious Patrick is just not into women so maybe his wife should get over it, get a hunky boy toy, use some Darling cash to buy an island in the Caribbean and live happily ever after? I guess for her it is all about the power.

The twins had much more screen time this week. As usual I was not into it. Especially Juliet...bleh!

I don't care much for Juliet (but that's no secret) ... and you know her new beau is a con man.... but I don't mind Jeremy so much. He's cute in his helpless manipulative way. I like how the writers interwove Lisa in the story to help Jeremy.

Also glad that she set him straight when he kissed her.

Brian is really growing on me. Him being a minister never really made much sense to me either. Nor does he seem the type to let his mother push him into the ministry in the first place.

I was only a tiny bit shocked to find out that Karen was playing double agent with Simon. I didn't have any inkling of that exactly, but it seems the way Tripp works so in the end it didn't really surprise me.

I'm betting on Patrick's wife too. Any woman would have had suspicions that he was lying about ending the affair when for so long he couldn't. And can I just say that Billy Baldwin is so ewwwww. I can't believe I thought he was hot in that Sharon Stone movie!!!! Blech

I was actually hoping that Lisa might go with the kiss. For some reason even though I know it is never going to happen I want to see Nick & Karen hook up. It is about the most far fetched thing that could occur on this show with Nick being so straight laced, but there is just something about the chemistry between those two that I enjoy.

As for Jeremy, I have liked his poor man storyline the last few weeks better then the super spoiled brat lines he was getting at the beginning, but now that he has outed himself as rich I am afraid he might fall back into my doghouse.
