On the other side of the coin, it would have been nice to see some value added content fill in the slot - such as a canned special possibly reviewing what we have seen thus far. Great point. I do think it was very smart not to air a new episode this week--maybe their first smart move this season.

Has The Challenge been renewed already? On Ridiculousness, TJ Lavin said something about "officially going to be hosting his 14th season" and the crowd applauded. This season is only his 13th. I'm just pointing this out because maybe we don't have to worry about renewal *just* yet, lol. But I'm still glad the ratings jumped.

I'm not surprised if this true. I think someone inferred this before, but it seems like this season completely set up another Veterans vs Rookies kind of season, or old school vs new school. i wouldn't be surprised if that is case, especially since they seem to putting a lot of emphasis on the fact there are many rookies and almost no vets.
For all we know MTV really just planned this season for a more dramatic and competitive next season.

I was just watching the episode that he appeared on and I wonder if he was allowed to even reveal that. 13 seasons = G2 through BOTSeasons. He did mention he would be hosting his 14th season soon. Weird.
