Thread: Battle of the Seasons: Austin - Danny, Melinda, Wes, Lacey

This was my favorite team since it was one of my favorite seasons. Now that their all gone they’ve lost me as a viewer for the season. In fact I’ve even went on to read the spoilers! I’m BORED! I had higher expectations. I have to admit when I heard that Danny and Melinda would be on, I thought for sure something would happen! Danny and Melinda’s love story was awesome! When they divorced I was heartbroken. And why on earth weren’t Danny on Melinda on Battle of the exes? Dustin and Heather were on and they are still together and Leroy and Naomi?? Really? I would hardly call them exes! We all love to hate Wes, but let’s face it he causes so much drama isn’t that what we love about reality TV? The only positive that came out of Wes leaving on the first episode was that exes Danny and Melinda would have no choice but to work alone! I was really looking forward to watching them interact with each other. Hoping they would even rekindle while in Turkey! How great would that have been? HELLO BMP !!! Everyone loves a great love story! Now instead of Danny and Melinda we’re left with Ryan and Jemmye! (Yawn) I have no interest in them whatsoever! I’m extremely disappointed! BMP needs to get it together for the 2013 challenge. I cannot wait until they start filming! I will be checking this website for news on the next challenge daily! I am also praying that Danny, Melinda and Wes will be on the next challenge and hoping for some sort of drama or hookup! Step it up BMP!

I agree but BMP cannot control who hook up with each other all they can do is cast a bunch of horny 20-40 year olds who may or may not be single and hope something sparks from it.

I have a very strange feeling...they know exactly what they are doing! All I'm saying is I hope they are cast in the next challenge. I wasn't ready to say goodbye just yet. I wanted a little more!

I'm not telling you that you have to watch this season, but this mentality isn't going to get you far if you wanna see other seasons... This show is on the verge of being cancelled, and if everyone stops watching when 4 out of 32 people get eliminated, we're hopeless. Anyway.
I don't think you know what BMP does behind closed doors. I'm sure they know who the public wants; but if someone doesn't want to come, or can't come, BMP can't force them. At the end of the day, they need a show, and even if we don't want to see them, they have to go with their second, third or fourth choices.
For Battle of the Exes, I was under the impression that they tried to get Danny and Melinda, but they refused because they knew they were gonna be paired up (I need to verify this). People don't divorce for no reason, they probably had a lot of issues, and it's hard to be around someone who you have so much history with. Also I've never seen a divorced couple hook up with each other after, or rekindle their flame, that's unrealistic... I feel like CT/Diem and Danny/Melinda were all in the same boat: they had their history/story documented on TV, they had issues, but they now each have a new significant other and to think they'll get back together is living in a fairytale.

I didn't mean to be harsh, by the way, I just think you are a bit misinformed (not saying that I'm all-knowing either at all).

It's a little unfair to blame BMP for certain people not being on the challenge without all of the info. For all we know, BMP tried very hard to get Danny and Melinda together on Battle of the Exes. Ultimately, if Danny and Melinda say no, they won't be on. It's simple as that. Can't just blame BMP.

I do agree that I wish this team had made it a little farther than just two episodes, but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it. :/
All we can do is hope for the best, and maybe we will see them again, I especially hope to see Lacey again, she seems very sweet and she did pretty well in her elimination round.
