The second of the four annual Neilsen sweeps ratings periods is 4 February – 3 March 2010. This period measures relative interest in the "2nd season" of the broadcast year when the networks are ending their major shows and bringing on the "winter" replacements. In recent years, cable has messed with the old model, in part as a counter-programming tool. One major value of this sweeps period is the measurement of the gain in (or move of) viewers to the cable market. USA, TNT, ScyFi, and others have benefited enormously from the Feb sweeps. Whereas the Fall ratings have much to do with the success of broadcast TV, the Feb Sweeps speak more to the diversity of the medium. Neilsen's numbers adjust for local and regional sports or other special things that conflict the the broadcast schedule. Unless it's March Madness in full effect nationwide, the impact is not major.

I think the ratings for last nights episode will just about the same or better than last week so 1.90 million or better. I think it's pretty much a lock that the series will be renewed for at least couple seasons mostly because Battle of the Exes continued the success from Rivals so there is consistency and this season is really popular especially on Twitter and I don't see the lawsuit between Tonya vs Kenny and Evan being a problem if they don't cast Kenny and Evan on any future challenges.

Sons of Guns was the number one cable original Wednesday night with a 1.2 among Adults 18-49, up a tenth from last week's season premiere. Challenge: Battles of Exes was in second place with a 1.1 among Adults 18-49.

Well that sucks season low. But it didn't fall very far, it could pick up for the finale. Is the aftershow ratings in there?

If we're looking at the brightside Exes was number 1 in it's timeslot for cable.

No the aftershow wasn't on the list at all.
