Finally, hope. Not for the Sox season - but for the future.

I knew the scouting report said Will Middlebrooks had plus power, but I was not expecting his debut to offer plus power. He was supposed to grow into it.

His defensive 3 run homer opened my eyes. He was just swatting at a bad pitch to stay alive and it went park. His second homer tonight was tape measure.

He also had that grand slam yesterday.

I am sure the kid will struggle, but he is stroking it right now.

Note to Baltimore: Walk Josh Hamilton. Seriously, just walk him.

A worse sign for the Orioles is that they let Elvis Andrus get on base for all 4 of his homeruns.
