USC, Oregon, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida State, Boise State, etc. consistently schedule schools from major conferences. It isn't like Michigan is going to have to replace Notre Dame with Toledo.

Notre Dame played by the rules. But they also exercised their opt out one hour before the game this past Saturday. Now there is a five-year break instead of a two-year break. For some reason, I don't think they will go back to playing each other.

It says what we all know. The SEC dominance hasn't been since 1998, which is what all the stats in the article are from. The SEC dominance started in 2006. If we look at those 6+ years of data, I am sure you will see an entirely different story.
