Also Johnny was not involved. If you were not sure you should not have posted, it is incredibly irresponsible to say to people uniformed about the case, that he might be sued for rape.

What I meant was, I don't think the fact that MTV hasn't settled has anything to do with the validity of Tonya's claims. You're saying that if there was any validity to her claims then MTV would've settled already. I'm saying that MTV is probably highly motivated to settle whether her claims are valid or not.

To me, the lack of a settlement has less to do with the validity of Tonya's claims and more to do with Tonya not wanting to settle. I would be shocked if MTV hasn't offered her a settlement by now; I have to assume that this is going to trial because Tonya (not MTV) wants it that way and has rejected whatever settlement has been offered.

I realize that this is a civil suit and not a criminal trial, but Tonya has plenty to gain anyway. Under the assumption that she believes these allegations are true, then proving it at trial could give her a lot of emotional validation, damage the reputation of all of the defendants, lead to a safer environment on future challenges, and give her a sizable monetary reward.

I don't know if these allegations are true or not. I don't have an opinion one way or the other. But I don't think that the lack of a settlement means anything with regard to whether or not Tonya's claims are true.

That statement disgusts me. Since when is it acceptable to blame the victim? Essentially they're saying she deserved to be raped with a toothbrush because she was frequently drunk and sometimes flashed people? That's ridiculous and despicable.

I know right, had to double read just to make sure I read it correctly.

So basically it happened but they're blaming her for it? That's just ****ty and low. Bmp needs to make sure nothing like this happens anymore(and they could start by not bringing back Kenny and Evan).
