The Real World: Generic Thread

Tokyo would be better for the ratings in the season premiere, but I think The Real World: Iowa would be a much better season. If they were in Iowa City or Ames (College Towns), there would be a ton of bars and interesting drama because it would be able to involve the locals as well. Something like Tokyo would pretty much isolate the cast (language/cultural barrier) and result in a boring season (like what we saw in St. Thomas).

Don't they mainly speak English in the VI? I've been to St. John and most people spoke English really well. St.Thomas should have called RW: Virgin Islands, but even that wouldn't have fixed such a horrid casting mistake. But I agree with Tokyo, the language barrier would be odd at first. A season in Rio or Spain might be better.

The part about them being isolated on St. Thomas was because they were physically isolated on an island off the main island.

I'd like to see them return to two more cities: Chicago and Miami. Especially Chicago but I'm biased. I don't need a back to Miami anytime soon though considering we just had St. Thomas and San Diego.

I also think they should do a Canadian city. Toronto, Vancouver, wherever. I don't really know enough. I also love the idea of Tokyo but it would probably never happen.

And my total "WTF is this guy thinking?" choice is Milwaukee, but again I'm bias because I went to school there and it's actually a great city. It's not like a dream destination for anybody but there's plenty to do there. It's kind of like a poor-man's Chicago though.

Knowing MTV they'll just go back to NY though and call it a day.

True. Though I used to work at Disney World and Brazilians are the world's largest tour group; most of the ones I came in contact with spoke broken, broken English. lol

I do agree that a Tokyo season would never happen, Canada is more realistic

I just hope that when/if they end this show, it won't be until AFTER I am on it. And I just want the show to go out with a bang. I want the final season to end up being the best season ever (or close to it, rather, haha). And MTV will have a real and final Real World finale, having everyone (or most people) that have ever been on the Real World (or Road Rules or FM even) there to celebrate the end an era. And even show marathons of some of the best RW seasons, or at least just air episodes of each season with the highlights of that season.
Although this will most likely not happen, and RW will go out with a whimper instead.
