V1Man, were you at that meet and greet deal at Kail's that a bunch of the cast went to??? Did you get to speak with Daniele much? If so, what did you think of her? She is a personal favorite of mine, even if she was really whiney etc at times. But I figure a few years will change all of that, she was young. Gimme the scoop on meetin my girl if you can!

I wish people would drop the BB10: Fans vs. Favs thing. Survivor just did it and I bet the exec's know that it would be seen as a duplicate/cop-out and draw hell from the fanbase (though really, that seems to be the repercussion of every twist as of late...).

Nearest I can figure, that's just a common question that the casting directors ask and has been reported to the e-community by a few people who've been to casting calls this year.

Now watch, if BB10 IS indeed new people vs./working with veterans, I'll gladly eat my words, haha

I was there. I went because James Rhine, who is a close friend, and his girlfriend/Ford model Rached. James was co-hosting the event. In fact, Kail put me in the cottage that Nick and Danielle had stayed in previously. Kail and her husband have a great group of properties and the location is beautiful. I hope to go back sometime this year.

I didn't interact with Danielle enough to actually form a fair impression of her. I don't think she has much use for fans and likely thought that is who I was. I saw no need to correct her apparent impression of me. Since I'm well known to some as being highly critical of the casting on her and her father, she may have also preferred to keep her distance. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I went hoping to like her; it just didn't happen for me. Perhaps it will next time.

I did crack the ice maden's facade (Jennifer Vasquez -- BB6) at the poker table. I sat next to her for a couple of hours and found her funny, wonderfully sarcastic and a terrible bluffer. She was also crazy mad on the ski slopes.

I'm not sure that I would say that Daniele has no use for her fans.... she does video chats pretty regularly and has written me back on myspace as a fan. I just think her personality is not the most outgoing with people she doesn't know, and she's a complicated gal that takes time to get to know. Look how close her and Kail are now after the show versus when they were on the show. I don't know, there is just something I really like about her, and I feel like she was a great player of the game and fully deserved to be cast.

I am going to agree with Mr V. on this one. I was pulling for her on the show (along with her father) as I enjoyed the drama, but once all was said and done I'd put her up there as one of the least accessible cast members (along with her father) from the cast as a whole. Sure, they both hold chats and such - but they think they are huge! They are bloated beyond belief with their idea of what celebrity they possess and would never be so kind as to respond to a myspace message. Way to busy. Way to "Brad & Angie" popular.

I remember reading on Dick's blog where he wanted to charge to do an interview. Ummm, no thanks, lol. Your not that big of a draw dude unless we are talking about the singles in my wallet. I think he is missing out on the fact that he is the one getting promoted and if any little blog run by a teenage girl that gets 50 hits a day wants to do an interview, he should consider it a career opportunity. People will not be asking in another year...

I guess I should have known that they would both consider themselves to be reality Gods (just from watching them for 3 months on the feeds) and have regrettably crossed myself off the "fans" list.

I'd much rather hang out with Jen (BB8) and say really big words just for the "glimpse of abyss" on her face.

I want to be clear regarding Danielle. I may have been a little unfair. First, I was stating my impression of her from observing her for only a few hours over three days in February. The "fans" who go to these events are over the top when it comes to smothering their favorites, of which Danielle certainly was one. I can understand how one with not much direct fan or even life experience could appear distant through just trying to maintain your sanity at these events. Hell, I am often the same way myself at these things. I know Kail likes Danielle and Kail is -- apart from her BB 8 experience -- a very engaging and perceptive woman and mother. I would probably be smarter to rely on Kail's judgment than my own.

One thing I can say definitively about Danielle is that she is much more beautiful in person -- and tiny -- than she appears on TV.

Bacchus, Jen (BB8) wouldn't have a problem with polysyllabic expression. She is smarter than her model persona suggests (though I doubt her common sense, since she and Nick (BB8) are in a relationship). [or as Danielle said, "she has my leftovers."]
