WHAT'S MY GRADE?!

Regarding Robin cheating, I believe two things:

1. Any form of a relationship, that has any form of other activity with other people is cheating. Even if the relationship wasn't as serious, it's still cheating if you are sleeping with a guy for days, drunk or not.

2. Her relationships within the show don't seem to last very long. Her and Mark seemed to have a good relationship that ended up in drama. Now her and Dan? Interesting.

Although, Robin, Dan, KellyAnne, Colie, and Johanna have become the top of my most waiting to see list. Just because they seem so dramatic.

And V1, in your post about Dan and Robin, at the end when you are talking about Dave's departure, you said that Dan accepted the invite and he quit. Did you mean for that to say Dave, or was it Dan who quit?

Does anyone have a link to Dan's myspace? I wanna see his 'relationship status'.

As I said, this was a walk down "Metaphysical Lane," that murky place where day and night and right an wrong meet and nothing is seen clearly. I think you took a different street in your response. In the abstract, if one person were so drunk so as not to know that she had some sort of physical relationship with someone, must she believe it happened? If she did not possess the mental capacity at the time to know the difference between right an wrong and her body simply responded to external stimulus, do we award her the scarlet letter? (I don't necessarily believe this, but there is value in looking at things from Robin's perspective.)

As for Robin's relationships, as I wrote, this was not one. It didn't exist before the challenge, it doubtful it can be called a relationship during the challenge, and it certainly didn't survive the challenge. The relationship with Mark Long existed before, during and after a challenge, and might well be regarded as a lasting one. At the time, it probably was a record relationship for Mark, and maybe even for Robin.

An added thought of no particular value other than to myself...

The danger, as always, is having our perspective on cast members be formed through only the briefest exposure to a few minutes of video, followed by months of no information, followed by a few more brief minutes of video on another challenge. While we essentially experience arrested development with regard to the lives of cast members, they live their lives 24/7 without our knowing any of the literally thousands of experiences they have -- just like we do. I hear and read lots of fan chat that falls victim to such assessments. Ratings in large measure thrive on such things. It's just another of those murky things that will drive you crazy if you think about it too much. Part of my own therapy is putting the cast member's real lives in perspective for people. Now just where did i put my Xanax?
