We've all seen the trailer for "The Island" and wondered just what Dan was up to. It turned out to be an interesting freshman challenge experience for him. We're told that Dan had many heated moments during the challenge, including the one we see very briefly in the trailer. Who is the object of Dan's outrage? It's another challenge newcomer, "Hollywood" Dave.

Thinning the ranks of the rookies is always a favorite veteran pastime, and this season is no exception. Something happened between Dave and Dan early on during the challenge that we will hopefully get to see during the first episode. Whatever it was became ammunition for Kenny and Abram to feel the flames of Dan's anger. They encouraged him to go after Dave with the hope that one or both of them would go home for breaking the "no fighting" rule -- something Abram knows a lot about.

Derrick wanted no part of their egging Dan on and worked to keep him from attacking Dave, but some damage was already done. The next day, Dave left the challenge. The rumor is that he just quit -- which means no paycheck from BMP. Dave reportedly told people after his return home that he was bored and didn't want to be there. Others have said that all he talked about in Panama was how much he didn't want to be there and how much more money he could make back in the US appearing at other events. Dave left with few friends among the cast. Sources inside BMP say that the tape of Dave before his departure is pathetic. It will be interesting to see if they throw one of their Hollywood cast under the bus or if they give him the kind "Tyrie on Gauntlet 3" edit.

Meanwhile, Dan's story on the challenge continues. Two things to come in future installments about Dan include his affection for alcohol, his relationship with a veteran female, and one fight that probably won't make it to prime time. Stay tuned, challenge lovers!

Wow. Surprising news regarding Dave.

Yeah I agree that definitely was a little surprising but as for Dan I'm not that surprised at all....thanks V1 and also for continuing to have us running around like trained dogs waiting for spoilers.

With this new information I think now the only guy that I care to root for is Derrick. Dan used to be a favorite but this new info proves that he is an unstable person, just like Dunbar.

Have you heard a single report that suggest Dunbar was unstable on this challenge?
