So why can't she get a little support from MTV? It seems like they choose a selective few to go on campus forums etc.

Even though they say they do not want to do another challenge, that might not be the reality of what happens. From what I have heard, when you get on one of the MTV shows (RW or RR) you are obligated to do challenges (if they want you) for years and years and years. In other words, it is not up to them if they do another challenge or not until they have escaped the bounds of their contracts.

Really?! Wow. Not that I'm doubting you, Bacchus--you know your stuff--but in that case, why haven't they forced a few fan favorites who seem to have bowed out to come back? For instance, Colin from Hawaii--I personally detest him, but I know he's pretty popular, or some of the Vegas people we haven't seen in awhile? I'm guessing they have enough people who actually want to do challenges that they don't resort to forcing people. Although...could that be why someone like Cameran has shown up for two challenges she clearly did not want to be on and elected to pretty much send herself home immediately? I wonder under what circumstances BMP/MTV would obligate someone who really is done with challenges to come back.

I think this is in V1man territory, but I suspect that MTV has the option to make them attend a challenge within X amount of years of their show. Not sure if this is a more recent trend because fan favorites were opting not to attend or has always been a rider in cast contracts.

I am not sure if they have ever enforced it either.

I've never heard of anything like this, but also have not read a recent Real World contract -- something I will remedy with the season currently being cast.

There's NO WAY! How can they FORCE you? It makes sense to have them contractually obligated to appear for othe reunion special....but the challenges?? I'd love clarification on this in the future if anyone bumps into anything

I thought Cameran only did Battle of the Sexes 2? She did another one?

Easy -- > Sign here if you want to be on the show. Otherwise, nice knowing you and have a great life.

The lawyers know they can put whatever they want in these contracts and the fame whore in waiting will sign...
