Bionic Woman: Ep. 02 - Paradise Lost

Aside from the disappointment that they killed the boyfriend, I like how the show is going. In the premiere I was unsure if these guys were "bad" or "good", but now we know that they are the good guys.

I'm not sure why Jamie never clued in that the guy from the bookstore had an agenda .... seemed pretty obvious to me.

I like seeing my favorite NBC stars in this cast, now if only NBC could find a nice role for Jason Wiles (Bosco, Third Watch).

Re: Bionic Woman - Episode 2

I am glad they did not drag out the, "I want to be left alone and live my own life" story much further. We all knew she was going to join up with the agency.......why make us suffer through her decision?

I felt tonight's episode was good, albeit a little anti-climatic (they found out about and defused "mega biological plot" in 1 minute 18 seconds at the end!)

The part about Sarah Corbin (Katee Sackhoff) being hacked was very intriguing (as I am in love with her! HOT!) I think this is going to be a great story arch over the next few episodes. I really hope that they can save her and turn her back to good (and not kill her off!) The level of eye candy must be kept ultra high! -- Michelle Ryan is no slouch either.

Issiah Washington was distracting to say the least. I think it was to soon for him to move to another show. I can not look at him in any capacity other then Dr Burke from Grey's Anatomy (His spot on that cast is not even cold yet!)

All in all, Bionic is moving in the right direction and is a must watch on my viewing schedule.

Talking Re: Bionic Woman - Episode 2

I got half way through Ep02 live, then switched to The War on PBS(yes, I am a dork). I'll get back to the DVR'd shows when there's not so many other things to watch.

Kath! I didn't know that the boyfriend died either! I thought he got shot in the shoulder - so Bionicgal just left him there to bleed to death while she went to fight Fembot ? Why didn't Boinicgal use her 50 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF MIGUEL FERRER'S PROPERTY to run her and the boyfriend to a hospital?

It no make-a sense.

I was laughing about this when I watched the episode today. I figured that there was probably a contract dispute after NBC green lit the pilot and the producers just said F*** Off Chris, your dead. Next!

If you read this blurb below from earlier this year....does it in anyway sound like Chris Bowers was only doing 1 episode?

Miguel Ferrer and Chris Bowers have been tapped to co-star in NBC’s drama pilot The Bionic Woman, a reimagination of the 1970s series that was a spinoff of Six Million, from David Eick, executive producer of Battlestar Galactica.
...and on IMDB they have a continuity goof cited:

Continuity: When Will is shot, the wound and blood is clearly visible on his right shoulder. When the EMTs radio ahead, as he is loaded into the ambulance, the wound is described as being on the left shoulder.
He died from a shoulder wound? Umm.....I don't think so. It was much more likely that the death blow was financial in nature.

Just my 2 cents!

Re: Bionic Woman - Episode 2

See I was going to ****h about the mere shoulder wound, but I was doubting myself. Maybe I didn't remember it correctly.

Contract dispute? Who is this guy to want more money? I don't think I've seen him in anything.

Maybe it was the test audience for the pilot saying they need him to die to prolong the angst and rebellion of Jamie.

I think I agree about a test audience and they just didn't like him as Jamie's boyfriend.
Also, maybe they just decided they didn't want her tied down so she could be a bionic slut?

Something else is a little weird about how Bionic Woman is listed on IMDB and the acting credits. It says he (Chris) was in Bionic Woman Episode 0 Pilot 1 and Episode 0 Pilot 2.

Does this suggest a reshoot? I saw the pilot On Demand and it was only an hour and only one part.

Re: Bionic Woman - Episode 2

I was over at IMDB reading up on Bionic and WOW is it gong through all sorts of internal gyrations. First of all, they did shoot a second pilot. Secondly, the boyfriend did survive and they cut that episode out (when they decided to write him out of the script!)

Here is the blurb I read:

The second episode was supposed to be called Birds, and in it we learn that Will didn't die from his gunshot wound. He gets taken to a medical facility and from there to the Berkut facility, where he is captured during a raid orchestrated by one of his father's men. The producers decided to pull Birds, and move much of its content into Paradise Lost instead...
