Talking Pushing Daisies: Ep. 04 - Pigeon

I thought you'd want to know that there is singing again in this episode. Not a full number....but singing none the less. I guess it will be a regular thing for Olive Snook to break out into song when the notion hits.

Bacchus you'll only have to cringe for about 30 seconds.

Thumbs down Re: Pushing Daisies: Ep. 04 - Pigeon

You already saw the next episode? Does it play on Tuesday's in your neck of the woods or are you just inferring this from a preview?

I guess I can handle 30 seconds worth. I sure they would like to do this all the time as it just adds to the weird factor of the show, and weird it is! Singing is just not my thing and to be honest I really do not like Olive as a character (or actor) in the first place.

I remember Kristin Chenoweth (Olive) from The West Wing and could not stand her there for some reason...

I watched it last night. CTV carries it on Tuesdays at 8pm. (same for Gossip Girl...which I didn't get to see so I'll have to watch or tape it tonight)

I don't remember her on West Wing...must have been when I stopped watching. I think it's her voice that turns people off.

Yes, her voice should be registered as a deadly weapon and sequestered for the sake of public sanity.

So.....it comes on a day early. That would explain how these television shows get to the internet (torrent) before they are even broadcast here in the US!

Re: Pushing Daisies: Ep. 04 - Pigeon

I just watched the episode and the singing was not that bad.
Maybe because I totally love, They Might Be Giants: Birdhouse in your soul! Reminds me of High School and the progressive bands of that time period that I enjoyed.

Is this show awesome or what? I was blow away this week and think this was easily the best episode yet. Everything just came together so well! I don't even really know how to describe the feeling this show leaves with me.

The writing is amazing. The sets are amazing. Most importantly, the actors are spot on as the windows to this amazing wacky world. I see some serious Emmy love next summer headed their way!

It's like eating a piece of pie. <sigh>

O.K. that was corny, even for me.

But I totally get what you are saying Bacchus. Watching the show leaves you with an euphoric feeling. (gosh this is sounding better than sex ... maybe there is a support group we should be looking for) The actors do such a wonderful job with the script, but really the writers deserve the cake for the success. Everything compliments the other. Writing, Set Design, Directing, Acting. Genuis!

I'm betting that the aunts will discover Chuck soon enough. I doubt it's a plot device to keep them apart.

I agree. The Aunts are very interesting characters and to have them way out on the periphery of the story is a waste of potential. I am not sure that they will be aware that Chuck actually came back from the dead, but I think we will see a reunion in the next few weeks.
