| Life: Ep. 04 - In and Out I was crushed tonight (just caught Wednesday's episode) that the Constance (Brooke Langton) / Charlie (Damian Lewis) "thing" is for all intents and purposes dead in the water! What is going on with her being married? Dammit! I was really hoping that the reason he was with all those other girls and staying away from her was because he wanted to be free and live an unattached life (which meant there was hope) but with her married the only chance we have in this situation is a nasty divorce (which you never see on shows like this) or the husband gets murdered (which is a good possibility.) I really think they are meant to be so something has to happen here! I felt like we had a good mystery this week and there were hints of humor interspersed in the drama. Hmmm....I wonder if the writers would ever consider destroying the sanctity of the partnership and have Charlie and Dani go at it in the sack? She is a sex addict (although they did not show her exploits this week) and he surely seems to be one too! Why not, right? I have been skipping through the commercials the first four weeks, but this week I was distracted and happened to catch a show clue wedged between commercials. I have not been watching these at all so I hope that I did not miss to much previously. Who knows if they will really matter. The ratings are awful and this show probably will not see a second half |

| Re: Life: Ep. 04 - In and Out Even though it seems NBC is not fairing so well with their new dramas, I think they are pretty safe. Life is replacing Crossing Jordan ( I think it was last on Monday nights...they moved so many bloody times...another example of a Network murdering it's on show...albeit it was a slow death) and I can't remember CJ having very good ratings in the last 2 or 3 years, even Las Vegas for that matter. I think it's an NBC problem not a show problem. People just prefer CBS and ABC. Certainly not our fault. So I'm thinking that if this is what NBC can come up with (which is damn good) then what are they sitting on that would come in as replacements??? They just need to win back all the viewers they lost over years, and canceling shows like Life, Journeyman, Chuck or Bionic Woman is not the way to do it. **** I liked this last episode too. The homeless guy was very funny. Charlie went and saw the detective again. He must not care about the money if he's willing to risk violating the terms of the settlement. Obviously the detective is battling some thing troubling about this case, or he wouldn't be burring it all in drink. He seems scared that Charlie will solve it all. I was a little disappointed that Charlie's lawyer was pushing him into choosing to have an affair with her or nothing at all. If she wants him that bad shouldn't she be the one making the compromise??? |

As far as NBC being in the dumps, you are correct on that note. I doubt they have anything in the works that would be on the quality level of Life. Of course they usually don't think that hard when making these type of decisions - especially when the celebrity/weight loss/singing junk reality shows are so cheap to make and always seem to do well... |
