Jericho: Episode 206 - Sedition

Jericho

I'm at the point that no matter which ending they go with next week it's just not going to cut it. In one hour they are going to have a 'revolution', gimme a break.

I would expect that 60 minutes less commercial time is just not going to be enough time to do this properly. Hawkins and Jake are going to go to Cheyenne and stop everything. In one hour! I'm not impressed at all. I'm sure the episode will be amazing but it will be fast paced and rushed.

Where as this episode, was slow and dragging.

By this point I had really hoped that Beck would have woken up to what was happening and joined forces with Jericho. Instead he's being the good soldier and following his directives without questions.

Torturing Jake to get him to give up Stanley! That was just low and not the type of man I thought Beck was. I may have missed it, but did they reveal who Beck's informant was?

Now who didn't think that Hawkins' mystery John Smith was behind it all? How convenient to have everything answered in one phone call. I'm just confused on how stopping the bomb from being detonated in Cheyenne will stop J&R. Either way it seems that the USA is FUBAR'd.

On a good note, it was good to see Momma Green again.

I was less then impressed with the way things have gone down and I agree that the finale is going to suck no matter how they attempt to pull it off. I get the impression they filmed episodes 1-6 and then halfway through episode 7 the idea hit them to film an alternate ending in case the show was canceled. I can almost see it in my head (next week's last five minutes.)

Jake is in a fighter jet trying to stop the other fighter that has the nuclear bomb. The music is heavy and the air thick with anticipation. All of a sudden an abrupt commercial. We are then returned to sunny idealistic Jericho at Jake's wedding. The end.

Blah.

Stick a fork in it. It's done.

What a truly disappointing end to a great story. I've felt from the first episode of this season that the overall flow of the story was off . They could have at least splurged on a two hour finale. That still wouldn't have been enough time , imo, to properly tell the story. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for Battlestar Galactica to return!
