Jericho: Ep. 205 - Termination for Cause

Jericho

Nuts! Just as this show is regaining momentum it will be all over again. Will it be over for good? Based on ratings, I don't see how any amount of nuts will give this show a third chance at life. I just hope they can give us an ending we can live with or at least a feeling of good things to come for Jericho and the good ol' US of A.

I liked how they carried the ending of "oversight" into "Termination for Cause" seeing that death scene played out again was just as effective as it was the first time. I hate senseless death and deep down I wish that they could have let Bonnie just go off to Cheyenne and meet a nice boy and have many babies and live happily ever after.

I was really disappointed that Beck deserted Jericho in their time of need. At least lend them some kind of army security or something. But I guess he didn't really believe that Ravenwood attacked first, because now I recall that he told Goetz that he would send back up for Ravenwood.

I was a bit confused with the workings of Ravenwood. I was assuming that the organization as a whole was bad, but apparently I was mistaken and it was just Goetz that was evil.

I really didn't think that Stanley was going to do it. I thought in the last second he'd lower the gun and then they would just let New Bern take Goetz. But Stanley did it and it was a gut wrenching moment to see.

I am not sure how the death of Goetz lands Jake in jail. That seems like a stretch to me, unless he tries to protect Stanley and Beck throws him in jail because he won't talk.

I have to admit that I haven't really been paying attention to Hawkins and his phone calls to his mysterious caller. Bacchus you are going to have to fill me in there.

I'm also curious as to what it's going to take for Beck to join Jericho in their revolution. I think the last two episodes are going to be the best yet, at least I hope they are. The tension in these last two are building to something huge and I'd hate to be disappointed.

Re: Jericho: Ep. 205 - Termination for Cause

Last night was sweet! The ending brought me back to the old days of Jericho when we were left with something shocking, and shocking it was! I also thought that Stanley would not pull the trigger. When he did, I cheered a little inside. I did not want Goetz to live another day and there was just cause, but at the same time I knew that it would also be big trouble for our heroes.

I assume that Jake will go to jail because:

A. He is the sheriff and was complicit in the death of Goetz.

or

B. He was obstructing justice.

It is still a little foggy as New Bern is where Goetz was found and you would think that Beck would think it was the vigilantes from that town.....who knows. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Not much to tell about the mysterious phone guy. All I got from the conversations is that he needs the bomb to prove that J&R (the company he works for) faked the attack evidence and is involved in the conspiracy.

Jericho is firing on all cylinders and I also hope that it feels resolved when the final episode airs. There is no chance of it being picked up for another season.
