| Jericho: Ep. 204 - Oversight Jericho ![]() As each episode airs, it gets even more frustrating to know how badly that the producers and writers messed this awesome series up. I'm not even going to get into the intrigue aspect of this episode. The short of is that Hawkins got a warning that he was about a day from being caught and that some aerial surveys would out him of having the bomb. He tells Jake and they pull Heather in to help get the surveys. Hawkins gives Beck picture proof that his boss was in cahoots with Sara. Meanwhile Dale is having a hard time smuggling in supplies for his store and was using Stanley's farm as passage but Stanley nixed that. Eric and his bartender girlfriend (can't remember her name) help him get it through the army guards. He eventually gets caught by Goetz though and taken in to his custody where he was going to ship him to Cheyenne. Jake calls in a favor with Beck to label Dale a suspected terrorist so the army can override Goetz. They only thing I cared about in this episode was the last 15 minutes. Mimi as independent accountant for Jennings and Rall had discovered that someone had embezzled 10K. Based on how Goetz was going after her she suspected that it was probably him. Just as she is telling Bonnie she pissed off some very powerful people, Goetz and about half a dozen Ravenwoods come to the farm. I'm still quite upset about it. It ends in tragedy. Bonnie dies while tying to ward them off with a shot gun. She got all of them except for Goetz but she was no match for him. It just makes me so angry that they killed her. They didn't have to do that. I get that it's build up to give the town the ammunition and the desire to fight back, but really it's just mean to pull at our heart strings and think that she has such a bright future and then just take it all away. |

| Re: Jericho: Episode 204 - Oversight I could almost foresee this tragedy as the lead up had us believing that Bonnie was going to go to Cheyenne to be in the city with other young people. I was getting the vibe that no matter what, she was not going to be on the show should it continue. They probably thought if she (Shoshannah Stern) was not coming back, it would be best to use her departure to create some drama. If you remember she was not even on the first episode, so I get the impression she probably came in to film her dialog in a short span and then went off to work on whatever her main focus is now. She is a great young actor (I loved her in Weeds) and I am willing to bet that she is probably busy working on a pilot for a network program that will be coming to our television sets sometime in the near future. Overall, I felt the pace of this episode was much better then last week and it seemed like we were actually getting somewhere. With only three episodes left we need to see the death of Goetz, the fall of the Western Government and the marrige of Jake and Emily! Well, not sure about the last one in just 3 hours of script, but the first two are musts if we are to leave this series with a sense of resolution. This show has become mostly of a time killer for me (and I also always follow up things to the end no matter how bad.) With my expectations so low at this point, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised with the finale. I just hope they don't bring it back. |
