Dollhouse

It's frustrating when all of Whedon's shows are lumped into one....but I think Dollhouse can and will stand on its own feet, miles away from the Buffyverse (Dushku and Acker excluded)

Check out this blog....EW reports fans are ALREADY trying to "save the show". or at least market it virally!

It's not too early to save Joss Whedon's 'Dollhouse' | PopWatch Blog | EW.com

It's a shame that it's being pushed to January...but i'm STILL excited about it!

Joss Whedon. Back on TV.

Wow.

Re: Dollhouse

I wish Dollhouse was starting this fallllllll.

I can't WAIT to see it. Hopefully it'll land an EW cover when it gets closer to January.

Re: Dollhouse

Just read this today on Perez:

Quote:

Joss Whedon Shuts Down Dollhouse

Sorry Eliza Dushku and Joss Whedon fans!

Looks like you might have to wait a bit longer to see their latest collaboration, Dollhouse, on Fox.

Refresher, Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku as a secret agent of sorts. The agency she works for imprints memories and personalities into its agents, who are then hired out. Though most agents are blissfully unaware of their situation, Eliza's character comes to realize she's a secret agent. The show's totally a hybrid of Alias and Bourne Identity!

Anyway, Whedon, the genius behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, doesn't think the current Dollhouse scripts are good enough, so he's shut down production for now, so he can do some re-writes.

Production is due to start up again in late September, as long as Joss is happy with the scripts!

The good news is that the drama is a midseason entry.
If Dollhouse picks up production again at the end of the month, they'll still be ahead of schedule.

Re: Dollhouse

More Dollhouse talk...

Quote:
Don't cry for Dollhouse, Whedonistas. Despite the production shutdown first reported by Korbi (or as we like to call her, the prodigal sister-wife), I'm hearing things aren't as doom and gloom in Joss Whedon's world as some are suspecting.

"They just need a little time to make sure they're on the right track," said one inside source who works on the series. "Joss takes this show very seriously."

While shutdowns can signal serious trouble, they also happen much more frequently than you might realize—and to some of the biggest shows. As previously reported, 24 is also closed for the moment as Howard Gordon reasseses the storyline, and ABC insiders tell me that even Alias and Desperate Housewives have paused production in the past—we just didn't hear about it—as well as, more recently, Dirty Sexy Money.

Re: Dollhouse

I heard about 24 doing the same, but they're waaaay ahead of schedule since they aired NOTHING last year haha

But this is good...at least it doesn't sound catastrophic.
