Even weirder is that once a British solider in WW1 had a shot on Hitler but couldn't kill a wounded man and let him go.

I know. I find that really hard to believe that he had so many near death experiences. Too bad he couldn't get killed on one of them.

Near the end of the war when the Soviets were moving on Berlin and him, and his wife, did.
