The Amazing Race 12: Ep. 1201 - Donkeys Have Souls, Too ![]() ![]() How frustrating was that entire donkey sequence? I just wanted to jump through the television and start going all ghetto S&M on that ass's.....er......ass! I would have turned a purse strap into a high fashion whip in mere moments and saved the day. The good news is Nathan & Jennifer figured out that sometimes you need to get behind a problem in order to resolve the issue. What a pain in the ass! Karma is a ****h and Ari and Staella paid the price for being rude and being idiots. Not a bad first group to suffer the dreaded, "You are the last to arrive" from Phil. I will shed no tears. I thought overall that the first episode rocked! There are enough likable teams out there that I think I am going to be happy for quite some time, especially being that the most disagreeable of the group has already been sent home. I forgot what I said a few weeks ago, but my current favorites are Rachel/TK and Azaria/Hendekea. Edit: I had originally picked Jennifer & Nathan. Not gonna happen if this weeks performance and stupidity for not pushing the ass are indicators along with the fact that they were the first team to break down and full on argue.

Re: The Amazing Race 12: Ep. 1201 - Donkeys Have Souls, Too I thought it was a great episode. Loving those freaky Goths. ![]() I really felt bad for the one girl...Her boyfriend wouldn't listen to her at all. I'm afraid I'd be more than crying in that situation...that seat would have been kicked clean through. Okay so I was wrong that one of the older teams would get the boot first. But I'm liking the karma bit...I don't like rude people even in the context of the game. The grandson/grandfather team, I'm not seeing them lasting. Also I find it really bothersome that the grandson is not there for his grandpa when he falls down...he just stands there like a moron. Go help him you ungrateful ass!!!! I don't like the dating team that was fighting all the time. They are going to get old real fast. The brother and Sister team surprised me the most, I thought they were going to have more bickering, but they got on pretty well.

Maybe liking them is a growth industry. ![]()
I tend to take the guys side in most matters of directions....lol.
In TAR 10 I also pulled for the bickering couple (Rob & Kimberly.) Well, looks like we disagree on just about everything! Should make for interesting conversation. |

Re: The Amazing Race 12: Ep. 1201 - Donkeys Have Souls, Too I'm thinking it's only in 'real' people that we disagree...with fictional we are usually on the same side. ![]() Just for the record, if you were racing for half a million dollars and your partner refused to listen to you...I think you'd cry irrationally too. While I don't condone the way she went about it...you got think that this is not a new thing with them. I'm sorry but if the guy I'm with disregards ME like that...nope not gonna take it sitting quietly. I'm just saying she had reason to be upset with him.

Re: The Amazing Race 12: Ep. 1201 - Donkeys Have Souls, Too Remember dating actors Hayden & Aaron from Amazing Race 6? Poor Aaron used to take Hayden's daily verbal barrage. I think Lorena & Jason are the new Hayden & Aaron. I didn't feel she was "asking" him to listen to her version of directions. She was telling him and that was the issue from the start. When he didn't snap to attention like a puppy being scolded, she resorted to what experts in the field refer to as a "guilting nag maneuver with some low level liquefaction for maximum effect." In common folk parlance it means: She started with "I'm Right." Then moved to the guild trip. Finally, the misty eyed whining attack rounded things out. Quite standard in the female arsenal, although her advanced usage of the tools showed that she was very skilled in the deployment of these weapons and was not an amateur. ![]() If you look at her cast bio it is quite clear she is the jealous controlling type. Wow....sounds like my future wife! I am totally pulling for these two!

Re: The Amazing Race 12: Ep. 1201 - Donkeys Have Souls, Too Bacchus, why don't you just admit that you're a woman hater??? I kid, I kid!Anyway, I really like this show! After the disappointment Survivor was for me, I wasn't too optimistic but it was awesome. I want to go back to Ireland soooo bad. What's funny is I have a picture with a donkey in Ireland that has baskets of peat on each side. There was some local kid that brought the donkey to a tourist stop and put out a basket for people to tip him after they took a pic with the donkey. SO ya, brought back a lot of memories. I didn't really care for the goths either. I understand when teenagers do that, but how do you get by in the grown up world looking like that. At my old job I even had to let my nose peircing close up because I couldn't wear it at work. I was so happy about the two that went home. The guy had already gotten on my nerves!! I like the father/daughter combo, they seem like genuinely nice people. I also liked the brother and sister.
