Survivor Gabon: Spoilers

Its time to get a spoiler thread going for the 17th season of Survivor: Gabon! I have been searching around and found out about a possible or rumored cast member. Her name is Chrystal Cox. You may know her as a former gold medalist in the Olympics.

Something posted on jokersupdates....no way of verifying the validity of this statement, but figured I'd post it.

"I know for a fact that one of the upcoming survivors this season is from Fayetteville North Carolina and a former gold medalist in the olympics. Taping has not begun yet, but is going to start very soon. "

John Burks of the North Carolina Elite Track Club continues as her coach and meet adviser. Contract terms were finalized yesterday.

After a very strong 2004 indoor and outdoor campaign, Ms. Cox looks to continue her success in 2005. She will soon release her indoor meet schedule and looks to repeat as an USA Champion indoors.

The Fayetteville North Carolina native’s ambition is to become the best long sprinter in the US. A 200/400-meter double is never out of the realm of possibility. She also plans to be a steady relay leg on any US National Team that competes through and including Beijing in 2008.

I not sure if this is person they hinted on but sounds like if she not still busy she be great . very much in shape plus she might be able out run the animals lol

Who knows if it is true or not, but at least it is something to talk about. This girl may be better than MOST of the guys on there. lol. What do you guys think about her? (if she is indeed a cast member)

Lol. I really do hope this girl is a cast member. It would be interesting to watch her in challenges. I bet she makes it far. (if she is a cast member)

So it has been said that Survivor Gabon is returning to Survivor 1. What does that mean exactly? Well it has been said that it means No more Exile Island or Immunity Idol. Also, it has been said that there will be a more Diverse group of people and less actors.

What do you guys think?

Cestriano is so wrong. TRW/RR created the whole reality tv genre but even then they didn't as that show from the 80's where the guy would talk to random strangers on the street was the first true reality series. ya dig.

Survivor 1 revitalized it, if that.

People are now believing that Chrystal Cox will be retired for a couple of years. On the list of Bios for the USATF Web site she is NOT listed.... Maybe its because she is going to be on Survivor!

I agree with you, Estee, but I think Crystal is retired from the competitive circuit.

Here is the list of bios from USTF, and she isn't listed. Looking at her stats ( http://www.trackandfield.com/bios/women/crystal-cox/), I believe she is retired for a couple of years. Th US Olympic T&F trials are June 27 - July 6, 2008, so she couldn't have waited to see if she made the team before heading to Survivor.
