Has anyone else noticed that Speakreality.com has been off-line (down) for the last 3 days? I hope everything is ok. I saw on Saturday that they had a message in vbulletin that stated they were moving (upgrading) servers. Then yesterday I got a "404 Not Found" message. Today, it looks like there is a database problem as the vbulletin framework is in place, but it can not find what it is looking for on the MySQL server.

Moving servers is always a major hassle and never goes as planned. Hopefully they backed everything up, twice, and take care of the gremlins that are causing the issue. It is the only other television forum that I read (now that tubescan is gone and TWOP is corporately owned!)

I always read TwOP....didn't know they were owned by the man!! :P Sheesh

I have always enjoyed Television Without Pity, but since they have been purchased by Bravo (which is owned by NBC which is owned by General Electric) - it puts into question their objectivity when covering their own media products. No matter how much they will jump up and down and say that there is a separation of church and state, in the end "the man" answers to shareholders and will act accordingly.

I am almost surprised it has not been turned into a giant Lipstick Jungle forum by now, as that is what NBC seems to be pimping 24/7 these days....

So were they not corporately owned when they were Mighty Big TV...is that when it changed??? And that sucks, I didn't realize that NBC owned it. I mean, to have a forum that is to talk about / review / make fun of ALL tv shows on all networks and have it owned by one...hmm, I see what you mean about not helping but think they're a little subjective.

Actually, they were purchased last March.

That means NBC U will now be in position to provide a forum for rants against Peacock shows such as "Deal or No Deal" ("I guess Americans would watch shit float if it were a gameshow," wrote one TWOP member) or Bravo's own "Top Design" ("I can't decide if he's more RoboHost, CyborgHost, or HoloHost," one TWOP-er said of host Todd Oldham).

Thanks for the email. We are currently switching to a new server and also getting a much-needed vBulletin upgrade. Ahh, an upgrade. That is a pain as you have plugin incompatibilities and need to go through and disable everything before you run the actual script. Sounds like they have it under control and everything wil be up and running soon.
