Dirty Sexy Money: Ep. 05 - The Bridge

So, it is a given that the twins are Dutch's children and not Tripp's biological kids? Right in the beginning of the episode he said something about them being different and I have to assume that meant that they were the kids that the DNA test showed were not his, which would mean TWO not belonging to him instead of ONE!

I'd be a little unhappy if I was him too, but in the end he should be mad at his wife and not take it out on the kids (even though they are super spoiled little brats!) He raised them and just like adopted children or children from another marriage he should just make the mental commitment forevermore that they are his...

The real focus of this episode was Brian and his indiscretions and I am almost disappointed that it has been fully released into the wild. I have gotten so many laughs from the punch lines drawn off of that adoption premise over the weeks! You almost have to feel bad for Brian. Out of all of the Darling kids, he is the one with the most somber disposition.

I have been enjoying the ride so far but am wondering if this show has legs. Will the ludicrous financial premise play itself out as the primary plot device? Only time will tell.

I'm thinking because they didn't come right out and say that the Twins were Dutch's .... that leads me to believe that they aren't. I'm still holding out that it is Patrick...that would hurt the most.

If it were the twins you'd think that Mrs. Darling would have stopped Tripp dead in delaying or cutting off their trust since it's their birthright from her side of the family.

I think the whole thing with Tripp and the twin boy was just that he was never knew how to connect with him. That failure as a father, knowing this was your legacy and you wasted your opportunity in molding him. I'm hoping things have turned a corner in their relationship and they can now finally bond.

I could be dead wrong and Dutch could be the father, but I think they would have uttered the words if that were so.

I can go along with your theory that the writers are toying with us.

It was interestingly obvious that they discussed the DNA test right after Peter left (and they were just talking about the twins.) However, the evidence you provide about the trust fund is almost conclusive. There is no way Letitia would EVER go for that crap if in fact the twins were the non-Darlings and she thought Tripp was retaliating.

I am going to go back to putting my money on Patrick too!
