Bionic Woman: Ep. 03 - Sisterhood

I enjoyed the show this week even though they are still trying to backfill a "few" gaping holes in the storyline and episode progression.

The fact that Jamie Summers is the only one that can save a slowly dying Sarah Corvus is convenient. I can take it at face value. I just don't see Jamie letting Will's Dad have at her, as only bad things would come from it. It is unfortunate that is the only option, or is it? I mean there is always the backup plan to abduct Jamie like the aliens abduct country folk -this is always happening in the Midwest - and anal probe the bejesus out of her until they figure out the advanced code to the molecular robotic blood and fix Sarah. Wait....shouldn't the team at the Burket facility know what is in those little buggers already being they put them in Jamie not so long ago? Never mind....way to logical. The writers would counter with, "Dr. Will only made enough for Jamie and died with the secret!" - Duh!

On to something else: You have to wonder why Sarah killed her chance at salvation, Dr Will. Was it because he fondled Boogie's genitals? (Ok, never mind......different show.....not that funny......moving on, nothing to see here!)

If Dr. Will was still alive, they would have had a doctor that could perform the surgery safely (whatever this surgery might be) and everything would be fixed! Hell, they could have had this storyline all wrapped up by the midpoint in next weeks episode!

Wait a second.....did they kill off Will just so they could birth this new ludicrous scenario? Is this why they tossed the real Episode 2 (Birds) out the door and now poor, unemployed actor Chris Bowers (Will) is back to making second rate shampoo commercials in Japan!?? (I made that part up, but you never know!) They needed Sarah to need Jamie to need Sarah to need Jamie? Genius! er....well...not really. Any series that throws 2 of the first 4 Episodes into the dumpster obviously has issues. Luckily I have grown lately as a person and can look past the rough beginning.

So what is the real explanation for Sarah killing Will beyond him getting written out of the script? I am sure that some might argue, "Sarah has been hacked and is doing the evil deeds of others." Well if that is the case why has she made it so clear to Jamie that the biologic controls the bionic and taught Jamie how to disengage the optic sensor? I better start suspending more beliefs or this is going to be a rough season!

Oh, and finally my least favorite part of tonight's weaving narrative: The conspiracy theory. Silly writers. Tricks are for kids! What are you thinking trying to imply that Will was actually staking out Jamie to be a future Bionic project and Sarah just sped up the process when she caused the accident. We know you put a folder full of Jamie info (after the rewrite) in the floor of Will's place in episode four three two to make it look like he was up to something even though in the pilot you made it clear that Jamie getting the bionics was against plan and that Dr Will was breaking all the rules and using his heart over his brain in performing the operation. There is nothing worse then a revisionist version of events...

So, the story is basically all over the place and hardly anything makes sense as the writers have backtracked and are really bad at making things up as they go along. So why did I say I liked this week's story at the beginning of this diatribe and all I have really done is whine about the black hole at the center of the Bionic galaxy?

Two reasons -->

One = Michelle Ryan

Two = Katee Sackhoff

Any Questions?

Katee is stunning. If they kill her off I'm jumping ship! (They only have her listed for few episodes on IMDB *sniffle* *snifle*)

BTW: That picture is a standard casting headshot. She looks pretty run of the mill normal without the great lighting and makeup.....

Ummmm......ok.....I started to lie and it just wasn't working.......nope, it wasn't even close to working. I think I'll just quit while I am ahead...

Bacchus you think too much while you watch. Don't you know it's supposed to be mindless entertainment??

But now you've got me thinking and I'm saying, HEY! Everything you are saying is so true.

There should be another Dr. though. What happens if Jamie needs repairs or an upgrade???

What about that drug that Will's father is giving Sarah. Is it making her more stable or is it enabling him to control her????

And Will's father? It must have been great being a dad at the age of 13 and going to university med school or whatever.... come on! That actor is way too young to play Will's father!

Besides all that, I really enjoy this show.

Yes, I understand that there is a doctor shortage in America these days -especially in rural locales - but you would think that super top secret government agency could get their hands on another one of these priceless commodities!

I'll take a wild guess here and say that the formula is a mix of Heroin and evil hacker anthracites. Sarah thinks she is feeling better when she does the injections because of the psychical dependency to the Heroin being relieved, but in reality the gene therapy with the anthracites is slowly eating away at her cognitive and emotional stability.
