Survivor



What Eliza should have done was convince Jason to make things more dramatic and give her the immunity necklace and then allow him to play the false idol (since he was sure that was the real idol) instead of revealing to him that it was just a stick with a smiley face carved into it. I doubt it would have taken much batting of the eyelashes and would have made for a more dramatic tribal council. Jason is one of the most oblivious players in the history of Survivor and it would have been fun to see him folly.

Overall I thought it was a slow transition episode. We knew from the outset that Eliza was going home (because they set up the entire hidden immunity idol exchange) and even though the edit attempted to play on Amanda's jealousy of Ozzy and Alexis, it was quite clear that was not the way things were headed.

I am a bit confused why the fans and Eliza did not group together and force a tie. In not doing so they have given the elders the upper hand which will allow for their systematic elimination through the ranks to the final 5 (if they remained loyal.)

I guess Parvati really sold the newbies on their secret off the books alliance. I am not buying it. I think she'll quickly sell them up the river when it comes down to it. They don't seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed whilst Parvati is a machete.

Eliza is not my type in either the looks or personality department, so I was not sad to see her go. I was just sad to see the numbers game settled so quickly without any real drama.

As for next week, the teaser seems to tip off that the Oz Man is in danger, so if he goes the game would once again be wide open with both the fans and faves with an even number of cast members. Lets hope they actually do go after him and he deflects with the idol, taking out....*wait for it*....*wait for it*....CIRIE!

That would make for great television and remove what I consider to be a blight on the game. I know, I say the same thing every week...


BTW: If anyone is going to make the biggest mistake in Survivor history as hinted at by Jeff Probst, it has to be Jason!

Eliza leaving...no surprise...your right. I REALLY REALLY hope they go for Ozzy. TAKE. HIM. OUT. If he makes it to the final 2...someones gonna have to wake my ass up because I'll be bored and sleeping by then!

With Tracy and Ami gone...here are the players I'm rooting for:

• Erik (Come ON! he's so innocent, naive...but he has SUCH HEART.)
• Parvati (don't know her from her season....and she seems to be making some sweet moves!)
• Amanda

No Ozzy, no Cirie, no Natalie. BLAH TO THEM.

Interesting that the idols play a major part this season, as one is yet to be played (unless he is counting that stick .) Just from that I can assume Ozzy gets suspicious and plays the hidden immunity idol next week. I hate to be a spoil sport, but there has to be enough time for someone else to find another one (and please don't send Oz back to exile as he will just find it again in like 5 minutes.) Also, if they tossed Ozzy next week while he had the idol, then the idol would not have played a major part (as Jeff referenced) with it being rendered inert and time is running out on the season. With the amount of players remaining I can guess that only 1 (or 2 on the outside) idol(s) can be found max, so to meet the high level of impact that Jeff is talking about, we have to see one soon.

Mr. Probst, I think you have given us all that we need to predict the outcome next week.

If they try for Ozzy he will want to deflect and take out the instigator being he is big into blood feuds when people question his monarchy (as we saw with Ami's departure.) Parvati or Cirie. Those two are my guesses for next week's eliminated Survivor. The younglings will not satisfy Ozzy's need for revenge. A vet must be sacrificed.

Anyone else have a better theory (without cheating of course!?)

Side Note: There are not many things more entertaining in this world then watching a woman attempting to knock off her rival suitor. As much as I enjoy Amanda, she can not help but embrace her hard wired biologic response and allow jealously to override rational decisions. I have a feeling this will play into next week's episode and she will probably be on the side of the revolt in attempting to vote Ozzy off the island.

The fortunate part for her is that Ozzy is the biggest threat on the island and must go if anyone else is to have a chance, so the misplaced logic will work in her favor. Amanda got pummeled in the vote on Survivor China, and hopefully she has learned her lesson about facing more deserving players. You know damn well Cirie has!

What happened with James and the hidden idol??? What did he do wrong with his season???

I think Ozzy might get voted out WITHOUT using his idol. OR...he'll give it to someone else and BAM he'll be gone!

I don't hate Alexis, either!

Honestly...any Fans are ok with me, but not Natalie. she rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

Not one idol, James had TWO IDOLS (he was holding the hidden idols from both tribes) and thought he was safe that week so he did not play one and they voted him out!

That is why whatever happens this season has to be huge!

I'm not sure who is going to leave. The preview is tricky.

It would be great if Amanda was the one who would send Ozzy packing. Except the Survivor Gods would torture us and put him on the jury. Him or Cirie.

Next weeks episode looks like it is going to be very good. I would LOVE to see Cirie go home, but by the previews, it don't look like she is goin to..... If they are smart then they will vote out Ozzy because he is the stongest player in the game, and anybody he goes up against in the finals, he will win, and even if he does use his idol, that means he will not have it anymore and they will be able to vote him out for sure the next time around. (unless he wins immunity)
